I put the glasses down after finishing the last part of the document I processed. I gently pinching the narrow bone between my closed eyes to meditate the pressure and vision. Closing eyes, I breath together with the whistle of wind passing the lawn of my direction. I am outside our lawn when I chose to complete the project under this refreshing courtesy of the wind.
I elevated my chin up with my eyes are still unclasped, feeling the moment when a sudden unusual sound of breeze prompt through my ear motioning my eyes to open. My forehead wrinkled after seeing what has been presented around me. A loud and cheering noice invaded my ear while the ocean of people covert my sight as they're passing before me, back and forth.
I gulped as I noticed them tagging along as if they're having a biggest rest of day here in a huge park. There are people with different ages, a group of men and a women, a couples, and even a uniformed personnel filled up the content of this park. As I looked to myself, I am currently talking with my friends joyfully under this extreme lively ambiance.
"Where do you think the best bar to go tonight?" Asked one of my friend with the rest.
They acted thinking, "Hmm I think we can go to the newly opened bar station nearby." answered one of them.
"But those are only suitable for youngest ages," one of them cons.
"I think there was a private bar located in a Shawn City, it was only two kilometers driveway!" One suggested.
"I'll go with it, what do you think Heil?"
"I'll go wherever you go girls."
"I'm in."
"Every places will do."
I gaped as I was staring them one by one. My head had stopped over and this what I saw seems like real and over consuming moment of perplexed. Is this for real?
"Hey Soju! Did you hear us?"
"A-ah yeah, what is it again?"
"Do you want to come with us tonight?"
I gulped, "Yeah, of course."
They giggled and talked back another set of conversations that isn't lightly clear to me. As I stared back to the people, it has never even subtracted the mass, everyone seems to enjoy the moment. They look like nothing bothers with the society but only they thought of excitement and socialization. It was only inches of personal space interval and some were even touching each of their elbows.
My eyes widen when an old woman running towards my direction quickly and jogged me using my shoulders. The look of her face is so terrifying and she's saying something unclear to me. The surrounding seems to faint on my peripheral vision as the jog went faster and stronger. I almost taken out an air to breath when I was suddenly snapped through my face's cheek and consequently seeing my mom in front of me. The surrounding modified and was thrown back to where I was sitting earlier with my laptop on my lap.
"Are you okay?" My mom asked worriedly.
I nod slowly.
"What happened to you?"
I roam my sight around, "What happened to me mom?"
"Y-you are convulsing, I tried to wake you up but you aren't moving and your body stiffened with your pupil exalted."
"I-I hallucinated, mom I saw different scenario!" I said.
"What is it hunny?"
"I-it was the opposite from current events, mom I saw everyone gathered in a specific area without wearing masks and not doing personal spacing protocols. And everyone was happy and enjoying and contented. I don't know why I am hallucinating but mom, I just want to hallucinate forever!" I screamed out loud and cried on my moms arms.
"Sshh don't say that."
"I want to bring back time to the good old days where happenings are the same what I hallucinated, where everyone are still free, where I can still go out with my friends, where people can go to work, where you and dad can go to work together, where I can attend late night out, and where I can be happy with my life. Mom I badly want to hallucinate again, I badly want to!"
"And now see, I have seen no one, even dogs aren't free. There's no people in a society I can meet, there's no friends I can to talk to again, there's no crowd of people to excite me again, there's no people I could socialize to, and mom there's no people that I can send to my complete latest project, because mom they are all dead, and we couldn't be with them anymore!"
"Because of this pandemic, everyone and everything have lost. The virus took everything what god has given to us. This virus are the one who painted our lives with a darkest dyes and writing a grim nostalgia on our generation."
I wiped my tears away and smiled bitterly.
"Wish we could turn back time to the good old days."
