A blond haired girl was looking out of her window in silence. It now had been a whole month since her family got ripped apart and with christmas approaching, her mind was full of unknown darkness and sorrow.
Not that anyone knew that....
Marianna Smith hadn't fully accepted the whole "losing a parent" thing yet. She was smiling around friends, her grades kept going up instead of down (like her brother and sisters) and she wasn't crying. She had not shed one tear since that fateful day that was the 25th of november. A full month before christmas, how convenient....
She had never told anyone this, but she often caught herself feeling guilty for either her father dead or trying to enjoy life after it. It wasn't her fault, she knew that. The man suffered from a heart condition and eventually a heartattack. How could she prevent any of that?
But still, everytime she seemed to grow happy, her mind shut her down faster than she could handle. The Smith girl hated herself for it. Still, no one knew how she was contemplating on skipping christmas this year as her phone kept blowing up with messages about the upcoming holiday.
With one final sigh, she turned away from her window and picked up the device.

"Jesus Delilah." Marianna said out loud as she put down her phone. The girl could never keep her mouth shut.
Meanwhile at the Joyner residence...
"Owen!" His name was heard through his door. "Hm?" He didn't even look up from his phone. His sister opened the door and sat next to him on his bed.
"Yeah hey Elena come in!" He said sarcastically. She hit him with a pillow.
"I'm leaving in a few minutes don't worry. Just wanted to say that me and my friends will join too december 25th." He stopped typing and raised an eyebrow at the younger Joyner. "Who?"
"Uhm.. Delilah.. Isa... Soph... Maria... basically everyone except Emily."
"Do we even have enough space for that?"
"We'll figure it out. " His sister sounded confident.
Elena was about to walk away as her brother called her back.
"We're going to the bar on saturday. Wanna join?"
"I'll text the rest."
