Fools in April

[the episode begins with Courage sleeping in the bed]

Gyagu Fukai: Wake up, Courage.

Courage (CTCD): [wakes up] Huh?

Gyagu Fukai: We're moving today!

Courage: [quizzically] Wha?

Gyagu Fukai: That's right! We're leaving home. We're going to become peasants! [puts on a hat and fake beard]

Courage: Hm?

Gyagu Fukai: [takes away Courage's bowl] No more food. [gives Courage a plate with dog food on it] Sorry, Courage. Peasants only eat mashed-up dog food. [Gyagu puts salt in the dog food, and Courage starts crying] April Fools! [takes off the outfit and puts Courage's food bowl back onto the floor] There ya go, pal!

Courage: I just know something bad is going to happen.

Gyagu Fukai: [goes into the kitchen] Whew, I'm thirsty! [takes a big glass of lemonade out of the fridge] [deep male voice] This is an extreme thirst! [sets the lemonade down on the floor; TV static transition to her putting all the lemonade into a lot of small glasses with umbrellas]

Gyagu Fukai: [normal voice] Whew, I'm exhausted. I sure can't wait to drink all of these drinks! April Fools! [holds up a mirror] To me! [laughs obnoxiously and walks outside and towards work. Hara sees her]

Hara Fukai: What's she so happy about? [walks by the calendar and notices it's April Fools Day. She panics] April 1st? [screams] April Fools Day is Gyagu's favorite holiday! [puts a heating pad on her head and dials the number for Tayori Fukai] Mrs. Tayori, I can't come in today. I caught something terrible.

Tayori Fukai: [over phone] What'd you catch?

Hara Fukai: I caught sight of the calendar.

Tayori Fukai​​​​​​​: Oh, hold on, Hara, there's someone here to see you. They says they're from the Warner Bros. and they wants to honor you as film director of the month.

[Hara runs to the cafeteria with an fantasy outfit on]

Hara Fukai: I have arrived. [Gyagu and Tayori laugh] What's so funny? Where's the film producer?

[Gyagu and Tayori laugh more]

Tayori Fukai​​​​​​​: You just missed them.

Gyagu Fukai: Yeah, but they told us to tell you...

Hara Fukai: Tell me what?

Gyagu Fukai: [whispers into Hara's ear] They told me to tell you... April Fools.

Hara Fukai: [lays her coat on the table] Well, it's been nice knowing you. [she walks off] Thanks for everything, Mrs. Tayori.

Gyagu Fukai: Hara, wait!

Hara Fukai: Just send my last letter to the P.O. box, Mrs. Tayori!

Gyagu Fukai: Wait, Hara! [grabs Hara's legs] It was just a joke! No more jokes on you today, I promise!

Hara Fukai: You do?

Gyagu Fukai: Sure, there are lots of other willing participants. Right, Mrs. Tayori?

[Tayori sits on a whoopee cushion and it "farts." Gyagu laughs]
