Chapter 9

"Dinner is served" Robert said acting like a butler

Samantha giggled and went into the dining area of the cabin, gasping at the site

"Lovely! You really went for it" said Samantha
"I'm a romantic" replied Robert, pulling the chair out for her

Samantha smiled and sat down. Robert sat down after her and they started eating

"Your a really good cook!" She exclaimed wiping her mouth
"Thank you!" he said

They finished eating and went back into the living room. Samantha looked out the window and it was still pouring down rain and lighting/thunder storms. Robert sat down on the couch and Samantha followed shortly after

"So, tell me something about yourself?" asked Robert, pouring two glasses of wine
"Well, I'm a college graduate" Samantha said, taking a sip on wine
"Really? Where did you go and for what?" he then questioned
"I went to Harvard for History. I got up to my bachelor's" she told him

He looked at her in amazement and took a sip of wine

"Wow. To get into Harvard is like getting into Oxford or Cambridge" he said

Samantha nodded and took another sip of wine

"So, why are you a makeup artist and not a history professor or something to use your history degree?" he questioned

Samantha shrugged and suddenly gave a depressed look. She rubbed her thumb around the rim of her wine glass and looked down at it. Robert took notice and sat his wine glass down on the coffee table. He then took her glass, sitting it down next to his and took her hands into his

"Did I say something wrong?" he asked with a sincere look on his face

Samantha looked at him, holding her tears back she shook het head "no." Robert knew she was lying and waited for her to say something. Samantha couldn't hold back her tears any longer and cupped her face in her hands, falling into Robert's chest, she sobbed. As she cried, she debated on whether to tell her story or not
