Chapter Two -Part Two

Two weeks has gone and past. My mom was still missing, and I was sent to my Aunt and uncle in Florida. Leaving North Carolina never seemed so difficult. Everything was different down in Florida. But my Aunt Hickory and Uncle Joe, were the parents I never had. They bought me new school clothes and my own cell phone. Sadly being so poor when my mom and dad were around. I lost connection with Emmett. Have not spoken to him since the summer of sixth grade. Finishing up eighth grade this year has been easy. My school grades never been better. Straight A's and one semester I got on A honorol. I made new best friends,Lola,Jenna,and Kendall. When I'm around them I can be myself. Sometimes my Aunt and uncle ask me about Emmett. But I have to remind them that he's just someone I was once close to. Never thought I would say such words about him. All my friends told me to just move on and forget about him. Which didn't sound like a horrible idea, because we have no connection. "It was puppy love" Jenna said to me.  Out of all my friends,she is my closest. "There's only one thing to do to get you out of this." I just looked at her in a weird way. "Ima set you up with my brothers best friend, he's really hot and seems your type. " "Seriously Jenna I don't need a boyfriend right now, and I have highschool to focus on after summer." She gave me a smirk, "Look you trust me right? " "Yeah I guess Jenn" "Good!  Now please let me get y'all together,oh my God this is perfect!"  "Yeah okay Jenn" A week past by and Jenna Texted me about going on a blind date that night. It was movie Friday with my Aunt. Jenna: "Come on Bay, you have to come out with me.  I already told the guy your coming! " Bay: Its movie night Friday with my aunt Hickory,i can't  just bail on her. " Jenna: "Just ask her if you can skip one night, Pleaseeee Bay? " Bay: "ugh you owe me and piss me off." "So Bay, what are we going to watch tonight? " "Hey Aunt Hickory,is it alright if I skip movie night tonight? " She picked up the popcorn from the microwave. "If not I understand,i already told my friend.." "Bay, of course it's okay,you really need time to yourself. " "Thank You" I smiled at her.  "So who's the boy? " I froze while I grabbed my purse.  "How come you think it's a boy? " Aunt hickory gave me a,your kidding me right?  Look.  "I don't even know, it's a blind date." "oh really?" "yes really" She gave me a hug and opened the door for me.  "Don't have to much fun without me, and be back before midnight! " "Thank You Aunt Hickory" She slipped a couple dollars in my purse as I let go of the hug. "Drive safe! " And I was on my way to the date.
