I am a man.

I am a protector and provider. I am a set of arms to fall into and a shoulder to cry on. I am a creator of music and of food, and I am a man who loves with everything I am.

I am a man.

I will keep you safe and I will keep your family safe. I will give those around me everything I have left if it means they stay afloat.

I am a man.

I want to be strong and gentle. I want the people around me to feel warm in my presence. I want people to come to me in need because they know I want to help them.

I am a man.

I am lost.

I am scared.

I was not born a man.

I was not born in the right body; I was not born with the right voice. I was not born with the knowledge that I was created in God's image.

But I am a man,

And I will do everything in my power to prove it so.
