TW // some angst?

Niaaalll!

Harry stumbled into their dorm room at 7.30 am in the middle of a crisis.

Niall, wake up! We have school and I kissed Louis.” He rushed to his wardrobe to pull out his uniform, all the while continuing his monologue. “Well, he kissed me, I think. And then I kissed him. Are you even listening to me right now?

He heard a grunt from the other side of the room.

“Niall if you don’t get up right now and tell me what the fuck I should do, I am never helping you with History, ever.”

Niall mumbled something into his pillow.

“What? I can’t hear you? We have assembly. Get up.” Harry rushed while buttoning his shirt.

“I despise the day that fate decided we should become roommates.” Niall grumbled. “How are you always so energetic?

“Did you not hear a single word I just said to you? Crisis.”

“So you kissed. What’s wrong with that? Pretty sure you wanted to devour him the second you laid eyes on him. What’s the big deal?“

Harry threw an exasperated look in Niall’s direction.

“You’re supposed to be helpful. This is not helpful. I think I’ll just fake drunken amnesia. Although I’ve never been blackout drunk. But that’ll solve it. I think.” Harry was pacing back and forth, running his hands through his hair, making a mess of it.

“I think you’ve got it covered.” Niall said, sitting up and scratching his stomach. His duvet pooled around his waist and he stretched his arms up above his head.

“I’m not even hungover. What do I do if he’s at the assembly? I can’t face him.”
Niall yawned without bothering to cover it up.

“You’re so annoying.” Harry huffed. “I think I’m going to skip assembly.”

“You can’t ignore him forever. We have tryouts tonight.”

Harry groaned. Oh no. Just what he didn’t need.

Niall dragged himself out of bed and they got ready for class in silence, heading to the common room together for breakfast.

Harry picked at his Greek yoghurt and fruit salad, not really feeling hungry, while Niall devoured his own plate of full English.

“I think you’re overthinking.” Niall stated, pointing his fork at Harry and stabbing a piece of sausage.

Harry raised an unimpressed eyebrow. “I think he didn’t mean to kiss me. You weren’t there to witness the flicker of panic in his face when I opened my eyes and he realised I hadn’t been asleep.”

“So, here’s the thing, Harry. Louis is the team captain and we’ve never discussed his sexuality. But I know for a fact, that in the couple of years I’ve known him, he’s never dated a girl or hooked up with one. Eleanor’s crush on him is blatantly obvious and she’s turned down many guys in hopes that Louis would ask her out. She could get any guy she wants and Louis is still not interested. I think that speaks for itself. I think he’s worried about coming out because he might lose his position as captain. It’s all he has. And we have some homophobic dickheads on the team. You should have that conversation with him if you’re really that into him. You said your date was good, yeah?”
