Chapter Three

Next week I actually came to school at was sitting at a table with Moon and Yasmine.

Earlier today, Yasmine apologized to me saying she was sorry about all the stuff she's said to me and I said I forgave her so now we're on good terms.

"hey you ready to rock our earth science presentation?" Demetri came into the lunchroom with his school project under a blanket.

"I'm ready to go back to a world where we don't have to talk to each other on a regular basis." Yasmine said.

"hey, hey! My popularity is on the rise while yours is steadily reclining. but maybe we can meet in the middle, like a sexual Venn diagram" he said. Me and Moon laughed at that.

"so what's under the sheet?" Moon asked.

"I'm glad you asked, behold that scientist's believe to be the valley when dinosaurs roamed the earth. Go ahead, press the hadrosaur egg." Demetri told Yasmine.

She pressed the button then smoke began to come out of the volcano.

"wow, My parents may not have to pay for my A this time." She said.

"your parents will never have to pay for an A again, whatsoever. this thing is a masterpiece. I mean everything is to scale and at 8,251 individual pieces, this meticulously assembled model represents the exact moment before the asteroid hit the-" suddenly a soccer ball came flying into our table smashing Demetri's project. Moon, Yasmine and me all looked up to see hawk coming over.

"I'm sorry man looks like my ball just got away from me."

"that took me three weeks to build."

"Eh, took my ball three seconds to destroy." Hawk said walking away.

"do you have another one?" Yasmine asked and Demetri walked over to hawk.

I got up grabbed my crutches and walked over with Demetri to hawk.

"Another week, another pissing contest. Although I shouldn't be surprised since you love pissing so much." Demetri said.

"You landed one kick. you got lucky."

"what kick?" I asked but got ignored.

"Back off or you won't be lucky." Sam said joining next to us.

"yeah like you'll start anything princess. Actually, why don't you go sleep around with someone new and break his heart."

"Demetri hold my crutches." I said trying to give Demetri my crutches but Sam already pushed him. Thats when the councilor came up to us.

"what's going on here Miss LaRusso? you know your guidelines against physical contact. Did she enter your personal bubble without your verbal consent?"

oh please.

"Yeah she definitely triggered me in my safe space."

you've got to go be joking.

"what are you talking about?"

"he started it by destroying my/his science project." Me and Demetri said finishing each other sentence.

"That was an accident. You probably shouldn't bring your toys to school anyway." hawk said trying to play the victim.

"I don't want excuses, I just want you all to respect each other."

"you can't be serious." i said.

"oh give me a break." Sam said

"hey! Consider this a warning Miss LaRusso and Miss L/n."

"what the fuck did I do?"

"None of that language is aloud here that's your last warning Miss L/n, next time I will be calling your parents. and get these Legos off the ground somebody could get hurt." she said walking away.

"bullshit."

"For you pansies, no place is safe." hawk said walking away.

After lunch we were all outside getting ready for the soccer game.

"hey y/n are you sure your gonna be okay with your leg and without the crutches?" Demetri asked me.

"I have to start using my leg more so I can get off the crutches and this soccer game will help. Stop being so worried about me." I said to him.

"your my sister I'm always going to be worried about you. I don't get why we have to wear these gym shorts, they pinch in all the wrong places."

"come on have a little school spirit." Sam said tying her shoes.

"oh yeah go mountain lions!" Demetri said sarcastically

We looked up and saw Cobra Kai walking through the small crowds of people not caring if they bumped into them.

"I wish we could do something about those cretins."

"we can." Sam said standing up.

"how? Counselor Blatt will give all of us detention just for breathing near them." Me and Demetri said.

"I don't see her anywhere do you? besides what's a soccer game without a little physical contact? They think we're doormats let's prove them wrong" Sam said.

"Alright."

When we were playing I kept trying to not hurt myself in the process so I stayed back a bit but close to Demetri or Sam when they were near. I was slowly jogging behind Demetri when he came up to hawk jogging next to him. I slowed down to were I couldn't be seen but I could still hear them talk.

"They loved you, you know?" I heard Demetri say.

"what'd you say?"

"oh yeah they told me. Man you had a good thing going with the hottest girl in school, and my sister, and you blew it by becoming a loser."

Demetri said tripping hawk onto the ground.

"guess that's why the Europeans call it football."

the rest of the time it was just them kicking each other back and forth and the whistle being blown multiple times.

and thats how we all got sent to the principal's office.

We were waiting outside the office glaring at Cobra Kai until the councilor came out with hawk.

"Caldwell, Johnson, Rickenberger, the three of you and Eli are free to go."

"what?"

"are you kidding me? what about us" Sam said.

"the rest of you will be receiving rehabilitative, not punitive, Saturday detention.

"Detention? shit." I said under my breath.

"Detention? Oh great there goes another blemish on my permanent record." Demetri said.

"This is bullshit!" Sam and me said.

"Miss LaRusso, Miss L/n! that is not how we express ourselves here. I think you both need two weekends of rehabilitative detention."

what a bitch.

"This school sucks!" Sam said slamming her fist on a locker and walking away.

"I don't know her that well."
