eren shakily puts down the diary after he was done reading it.
tears fell out of his eyes as he looked around y/n's room to see all his other friends either sitting on standing. one thing they all had in common was that they were crying.
"this is all my fault..." eren muttered.
"no, it's mine. I remember y/n saying she was dealing with depression and I laughed at her. I could've stopped it." sasha said.
"shut up." Connie said while his hands covered his teary face. "she said 'i love you' through text and I responded with 'who doesn't?'. that's got to be the most messed up shit I've ever done."
"eren." mikasa said. "was it true you kissed y/n?"
eren stares at his fiancé as his lip trembled.
it was all Eren's fault.
he knew she had a crush on him but he decided he wanted to be with Historia or mikasa.
it was crushing him inside that he remembers so vividly how y/n reached out to him for help but he didn't believe her.
