Prologue

The classic Chinese zodiacs story. Told over generations and till hourglasses end. Of the cat being neglected in every gathering, place, and family. Their pride couldn't bear having the cat around.

He was cursed.

They all were of course, yet ostracized the cat. He was seen as a traitor but I could perfectly picture them desperately scrambling on their knees finding someone to blame.

Their problems needed reason.

There's one more. One more that holds hand with the same fortune.

Everyone remembers all the zodiac animals. To the cunning snake all the way to a loyal dog. they even know the cat, although not for pleasant reasons.

But everyone forgets about the wolf. Such a common animal yet no one can seem to picture it was a part of the zodiacs. It was as if they had an essence of forgotten lingering. The scent was faint but everyone could smell it.

And for that, I pity the wolf the most.

But so did the cat. For he found someone who can share his suffering, and find comfort to.

To him. She was his fate.
