18: Relief

Hinata POV

I went to the gym for volleyball practice with a few ban aids. And everyone stared at me. Not about tye fact I looked hurt from yesterday, because of what happened yesterday. Apparently, almost everyone knew in school, because Erika was popular in school.

"Hey Hinata, are you okay? I heard what happened yesterday." Asahi asked.

"Yup! You don't need to worry!" I smiled.

"If that ever happens, just know that we'll beat their ass if they do that!" Nishinoya yelled.

"Yeah! Don't be afraid to ask us for help, since we are your upperclassmen!" Tanaka pointed his thumbs at himself.

"Of course!" I agreed with them.

In the back, I see Suga pushing Kageyama towards me.

"Hey- Oh uh, Sorry for being so mean to you, I guess you were right when you said I was dumb." Kageyama rolled his eyes, but I knew he meant the words.

"It's ok, and you are right, you can be dumb sometimes." I chuckle.

"Shut up dumbass! Do you want another bruise!"

I felt surprisingly calm. Now that Kageyama finally broke up with his toxic girlfriend, I felt relieved.

We were done practice and Kageyama and I packed up and started walking home.

"Hey Hinata." Kageyama said.

"Uhh yeah?"

"I know that I've been really mean to you, and after all that happened, I do really feel bad..." Kageyama apologized.

"It's fine Kageyama! Your girlfriend was toxic, no biggie!" I chuckle.

"No Hinata, she was being rude to you for no reason! I can't just brush off the fact Erika did that to you." Kageyama faced me and grabbed my shoulders. "Also, don't call Erika my girlfriend. She doesn't deserve that title anymore."

"I'm sorry oh great king." I bow down.

"Whatever." Kageyama rolled his eyes.

"Oh by the way, how did the break up go between you two?"

"Uhh after Erika got suspended for beating you up, we both talked to each other and I decided that we should block all contact of each other. So I blocked her number and ignored her."

"Did she say anything else about me?" I asked feeling worried. Erika has info about me having feelings towards Kageyama.

"No, she only complained about wanting to go back with me. If she does say anything about you, I won't believe it. And if she does anything to you, tell me." He looks at me all serious like.

"I will! You don't have to be so worried!" I laugh.

It became silent, and I tried to think of something to say, until we reached the part where we part ways.

"Well bye Hinata." Kageyama waves.

"Bye!" I wave back and we walk away.

Kageyama's POV

I walked to school, but I see Erika running at me. I felt irritated, knowing Erika would say something that would tick me.

"H-hey Babe!" She waves at me, trying to act all friendly.

"Drop the act Erika, and don't call me that, we broke up." I hiss.

"Whatever, and this is my true attitude!" She huffs. Man she already is ticking me off.

"That's not what you acted like around Hinata." I glare at her. "And what do you want? We broke up, what more do you want?"

"Man you always talk about him! Just shut up about him. Its not like you like him, do you?" She glared back at me.

"I don't, and answer my question. What. Do. You. Want."

"I have a few things to say! First, what are we now? Can we still be friends..." she tried to look shy, which made me sick.

"After that, hell no. We are just classmates. I wish we could be strangers as well."

She looked offended and mad. "Wow Kageyama, you don't have to be so mean. I mean yesterday you acted all nice to me!"

"You wanted an answer. And now you have one? Are you going to move on? Or can you stop talking to me."

"Ughh, your so rude Kageyama, anyways I have one last piece of info."

"Hinata has a crush on you."
