another year, another chance for ateez to perform at mama. unfortunately, mingi was unable to attend this years event due to his anxiety so he was on hiatus. having gone through the same thing just a few months prior, aislinn understood the older and made sure he was okay throughout the day whenever she could.

sitting inside the van, the female had a blanket draped over her exposed legs, warming her up as they were driven to the red carpet of mama 2020. upon arrival, the boys exited the van before yunho offered a hand to aislinn to help her step out of the van without tripping. the group took their red carpet photos before they were taken inside, heading for their waiting room where they got dressed for the performances they would do.

san headed to the stage first to perform with hyunjin of stray kids and juyeon of the boyz to reveal the news that their groups would be participating in kingdom. of course, since kingdom was the male verson of queendom, aislinn was prohibited from performing unless as a backup dancer. she didnt mind it too much, though, as she would be making a solo comeback late march so she would be busy with her own schedule, and for any days her members would be busy with kingdom recording, she could work on new music or even go out on that cool new motorcycle the members got her for her birthday.

"aislinn, you're starting off with hongjoongs microphone," her manager said to her, holding out said item to her as she grasped it. "you and hongjoong will switch when you cover mingis rap in answer," the male further explained to the purple-haired female who gave an understanding nod.

"ateez to the stage please," a staff called into the room, wearing a mask. the members nodded and headed for the stage after getting ready, getting into their positions as the music began for their stage. aislinm remained silent, sitting on the provided throne whilst san and wooyoung did their introduction. when the other members were fully on the stage after being lifted, she stood up and began walking towards the two 99 liners with the fellow members, falling into position of the chorus for inception. dancing as practiced, aislinn performed with all she could and found herself enjoying the stage they were providing.

after the dance break, she walked back to stand in position for answer, adjusting her hair as she lightly panted from the slightly intense choreography. for this performance, she allowed jongho to sing her part in the intro instead as she strutted to the center, catching the silver microphone that her leader threw to her -- herself tossing the microphone she held before rapping mingis lines.

"i got the answer, 선을 펴 시선은 위로 say oh, 잔을 들어 마주 보며 say oh, 끝은 먼 시작이믈 우린 베턴에 기억해, 발끝부터 함께 say my name," aislinn rapped as she advanced forward, keeping a distinct facial expression and her voice harmonising well with the backing track that had mingi's voice.

throughout the performance, aislinn adjusted her hair a lot, keeping a blank face as she focused on the performance. every now and then when the camera focused on her, she would smirk and give a wink.

during the bridge, aislinn found herself and hongjoong doing a little freestyle as the leader of the nine member group fell to his knees as they sang their lines. after performing the song, the music changed as they walked passed the pedestal that had a crown resting on it. hongjoong took the throne as aislinn sat on the step just before the level the throne sat on, her right leg crossing over her left as she gave off a royal aura despite not being on a throne- the cameraman focusing on hongjoong before changing to aislinn.

the moment they got backstage, aislinn grabbed her phone and called mingi who congratulated her on the performance and jokingly asked for them to hurry up and get home. "ahh, you see, thats going to be an issue because we are taking a flight to canada and then-"

"linlin-ah~ i need my cuddles," mingi spoke, his deep voice sending chills down the girls back.

"cuddles? hmm.. i guess i can try and fit it into my schedule before we head to the airport. i cant promise anything though."

"aislinn, you arent actually going, right? please tell me you arent!" aislinn felt so bad when she heard the boys sniffles and immediately requested a face time call which was answered quickly.

"minmin, i would never leave you! im sorry, baby, i really am. can you stop crying for me? please?" wooyoung laughed when he saw the pout on aislinns face as she begged the second tallest to stop crying. "min, baby.. look, now im crying! please stop crying else ill keep crying and then i will ruin my makeup! i am really really really sorry, bubs, now please calm down.."

"linlin-"

"prince, i promise that as soon as we get home, i will come straight to your room and we can put on a film or some music, and we can cuddle. you will get all the kisses and cuddles you want, baby boy, okay? how does that sound, hmm?" aislinn smiled as mingi nodded, wiping his tears away with his sweater-paw. "good boy," the girl started throwing endless praises at mingi who finally settled his nerves and sat back, smiling at all of the praises and compliments that were hurled his way.
