Part 10 || choose wisely

A/N's POV

The whole ball you ignored Heeseung, he tried approaching you but you just walked away in the opposite direction hiding from him

<time skip after the party>

The princess requested to talk with the crown prince privately.

Y/N: "why?" She plainly asked him holding back her tears "why did you tell him to come back?"

Sunghoon: "I'm sorry for not telling you"

Y/N: "why did you do that?" She asked not believing his actions

Sunghoon: "I just wanted to know if your feelings for him is already gone" her mouth slightly opened at the reason the prince gave her

Y/N: "Sunghoon ahh" she was about to hold his hand but stopped

Sunghoon: "after seeing him, do you still want to get married to me?" The princess shut her mouth not answering anything and retracted her hand. The prince noticed this and felt bad, he wanted her to hold his hand but he didn't want to fall for her even more. She didn't know how she felt and she didn't wanna answer Sunghoon without being sure "He's leaving in 3 days, he's going back to Daegu, I'll wait for you in the garden in our usual spot on the 3rd day. It's up to you to decided if you want to go with me or leave with him"

The princess started tearing up, this was just all too much for her to handle.

Sunghoon: "If you go with him, you choose not to marry me. I'll respect whatever your decision is"

Y/N's POV

I look down and let my tears fall. Why was this so hard? I suddenly felt a hug from Sunghoon, he tapped my back and rubbed it at the same time. I hugged him back gripping onto his shirt. He's back, the old Sunghoon is back. I smiled sadly, he changed in that one year. He let go of the hug and stood up

Sunghoon: "choose wisely" he left as I sat alone with my thoughts

A/N's POV <time skip>

Heeseung kept looking for a moment to talk to you but he can't. You always avoided him everytime you spotted him. You're mad at him for leaving you and also, you're afraid to know that you still love him

<time skip on the 3rd day>

Today was the day, you had to choose and you've been wracking your brain. You hugged your legs as you leaned on your door then you suddenly heard a gentle knock. Before Heeseung left he stood outside of your room to say a few last words

Heeseung: "I'm leaving now, once again I'm sorry for everything. I know I was a coward for leaving you and for breaking our promise. I just don't want to make everything worse" you sniffled quietly as you listened to his gentle words "if you really can't talk to me, I guess I have to leave now. Take care y/n ahh" as the princess heard his footsteps fading away she burst out in tears again cupping her face I hate this heavy feeling in my chest she thought as she choked on her tears and rubbed her chest trying to calm herself down.

Heeseung waited for you to come out, he looked around every second to see if you'd come with him

Man: "prince Heeseung we need to go" but you didn't come out. He looked around once last time and once he didn't see you he teared up shutting his eyes close

Heeseung: "let's go" he hopped into the car and looked down resting his arm on his legs. He bit his bottom lip and tilted his head to the side turning forward again not wanting to believe you stayed with his brother. He sobbed quietly all the way back to Daegu.

On the other hand Sunghoon was sitting down under the tree (your usual spot) waiting for you in the Garden. He had been waiting for almost an hour and he started thinking you decided to go with Heeseung. He brought his knee up letting his arm rest on it as it dangled and bent his head down chuckling sadly so she chose my brother

Y/N: "Sunghoon ahh"
