Rising... Higher... I'm scared... At least my brother's here with me... What's his name again?... What's my name? Where are we? Why are we here? What's in here with us? What's happening?!My thoughts consume me as the strange metal cage that we're in shakes. It's loud in here. "Sis!" My brother shouts. I'm about to respond but the cage jolts and I scream instead. He scurries over to me and grabs my wrist. "It's alright! It's okay!" Another jolt, another scream. "I think so anyways." He says. Then I see red flashing on his face. We look up. There's blinking red lights and what looks like the end of our ride. He puts his arm around my shoulders and pulls me closer as the cage comes to a jolting stop.
The ceiling where the blinking lights were opens and we shield our eyes from the sunlight. Two tall figures open the wired ceiling of the cage. Scoffs arise from the crowd of figures above us. "Two Greenbeans?" One chuckles.
"A girl?" Another one remarks in a deeper voice, sounding generally confused.
Suddenly one of the figures jump into the cage. My brother's grip tightens around me. He's tense. "Hi there, Greenies." The blond haired boy says with a smile. A strange instinct begins pulsing through me and I can feel my brother getting the same one. We glance at each other and nod. Then he quickly pins the blond haired boy to the other side of the cage with a grunt. I climb out easily, with the intention to run and hide.
Someone grabs my arm. A dark skinned boy. "Hey! Calm down!" He starts trying to pin my arms behind my back. I stomp on his foot. He yelps and his grip loosens a little. I take this opportunity to elbow him in the jaw, which gives me time to turn around and punch him in the face. I hear some of the other boys cheering as he stumbles backwards.
I turn and run. A scream of pain followed by a strained "Run Sis!", sounds from the cage's vertical tunnel. I come to a stop but before I can hurry back to help him, the boy who caught me jumps on top of me and pins me to the ground.
He looks furious. "To the Slammer with these two! Different cells!" He orders the other boys. Two of them come to drag me off. But before they take me, my chin is raised and the boy almost spits in my face with his silent warning. "I'm Alby... The Leader... The leader that you just attacked! So, don't expect any favors from me while you're here Greenie."
My brother and I are put into wooden cages built into the ground. It makes me wonder what cage we're going to be thrown into next. "Sis," My brother says.
"Yeah?" I ask.
"I remember my name."
"Really? What is it?"
"Gally."
"That's a nice na-." Y/n... My name is Y/n!! "Gally?" I ask.
"Yeah Sis?"
"Y/n... That's my name."
"Pretty name, that one." He sounds like he means it, but there's a hint of frustration in his voice. Maybe because we can't remember anything except our names and that we're twins. There's silence for a moment. "What is this place? Why are we here and why can't we remember anything?" He grumbles.
I yawn. "I don't know, Gally... Maybe they'll tell us in the morning."
The morning goes by quickly, full of strange boys grinning at me and offering me high fives that Gally doesn't let me take. He's becoming too overprotective. We refuse breakfast because who eats when confusion threatens to make them throw up every five seconds? Alby shows us around which takes about an hour and then we just sort of roam around.
"So what now?" Gally asks. "Do we just walk around and try not to kill people?"
I ignore his questions. "How come we knew how to fight so well? And how come we're so strong?"
