"Would anyone like to step up and read their poem?" Mr. Pucket asked.

Everyone stayed silent but you decided that you're going to read yours. Your poem is about Hawk but you don't say that.

"I will sir." I said.

"Step up Ms. Gonzales." Mr. Pucket said.

"I hate the way you talk to me.
And the way you cut your hair.
I hate the way you drive my car.
I hate it when you stare.
I hate your big dum ego.
And the way you read my mind.
I hate you so much it makes me sick.
It even makes me rhyme." I said.

"This is pathetic!" Mitch yells.

"Shut up dumbass!" Hawk said to Mitch and makes a fist.

"I hate the way you're always right.
I hate it when you lie.
I hate it when you make me laugh.
Even worse when I cry." I said as I start to cry.

"I hate it when you're not around.
And the fact that you didn't call.
But mostly I hate the way I don't hate you.
Not even close.
Not even a little bit.
Not even at all." I said.

Hawk walks up to you to talk, but you storm out of the class room.

"No... Mai come back! Mr. Pucket?" Hawk said.

"Go get her." Mr. Pucket said.

Hawk storms out the classroom and heads to your favorite spot in town. The park where Hawk asked you to be his girlfriend.

"Mia..." Hawk said quietly.

"What do you want?!" I said with tears coming down my ocean blue eyes.

"I'm sorry... For everything. I didn't deserve to have you as my girlfriend. I messed everything up." Hawk said.

"You're right. I made the biggest mistake saying yes." I stand up and face Hawk. "I should've known from the start. I mean who would want to date me?! I've been in and out of juvie, my parents left me, my siblings left me... You left me. I'm useless." I said.

"Mia don't say that." Hawk said. He tried to grab my hand to hold it but I backed away.

"Hawk.. no. I- I should go." I said. I stormed off to my truck and head to my best friends house.

"Mia..." Hawk said under his breath.

I walk up to my bestfriends house and knock on the door.

"Coming! Mia have you been crying?" Robby asked.

"Can I come in?" I asked still sobbing.

"Yes. What happened?" Robby said.

"I- I read my poem about Hawk to the class. And he said that he made a mistake and that he didn't deserve me. Robby I still love Hawk." I said breaking down crying.

"I'm sorry Mia. Come here." Robby said and hugged me tight. "You can stay in my spare room." Robby said.
