Asleep (Baku x Deku)

Chapter 2

(Bakugo POV)

I hear someone walk up behind me and turn around to see the nerd standing there staring at me with a cute flustered look on his face. I try to hold my blank expression.

"Spit it out Nerd." dammit why do I have to sound so harsh every time I talk to him, stupid, stupid.

"I.. I.." he stutters again and I can't help but smile down at him.

Luckily he didn't see me as he turned around to look at something behind him. I look up and see the police cars racing toward us. How the hell did I not hear them? There is a big gnarly-looking guy that they are clearly chasing. Small blasts start forming in my fist with the excess sweat and he turns to me smiling. Before I can even move he throws his hands out in front of himself in my direction.

As if in slow motion I see the nerd activate his quirk as green tendrils of electricity course over his body. He turns to face me blocking me from the villain's view. His back arches and his green lightning flickers yellow, his eyes widen and I can see tears form in the corners of his eyes as he clenches his teeth and screams loudly through them. He stops and for a split second I think he is ok but his eyes roll back in his head and he begins to fall. I quickly grab him before he hits the ground. He is completely limp in my arms. I sit on the warm ground and pull him to my chest shaking him.

"Deku, Deku come on wake up Deku. Izuku Midoriya you better get up right now or I'm going to kill you." I scream at him but he doesn't move at all.

I quickly search for his pulse and after a frantic search, I find it. I let out a shaky sigh. I sat cradling his limp body in my hands, running my hand through his soft hair as everyone ran around us. There was a lot of screaming and crying, but I couldn't focus on anything but him. He looked like he was asleep in my arms.

"Please be ok Izuku, please" I whisper in his ear. As I look at him there is something wet on his face and I realize that I am crying.

(Deku's POV)

"Deku, Deku come on wake up Deku. Izuku Midoriya you better get up right now or I'm going to kill you." Kacchan screams at me. I cough and open my tired eyes, my whole body aches like a really bad hangover. I lift my hand to shield my eyes from the blaring sun in my eyes. I roll over onto my stomach and cough more each time it feels like my throat is burning.

"What the hell just happened," I ask as I shakily got to my feet.

I look over and Aizawa is using his quirk on the guy who has been knocked to the ground, three police officers are restraining him while a fourth police officer puts the quirk canceling cuffs on him. He looks at me laughing. I turn around to see my class all gathered around someone. Oh no, did he hit Kacchan too? Please let him ok, please. I skirt around the outside of everyone looking for an opening to get in. I have to go all the way behind Kacchan for a break in the crowd.

I see Kacchan sitting on the ground with someone in his arms, as he brings his head up I can see who is in his arms. It's me! I stood there for a moment confused. I walked up to Kacchan.

"Kacchan it's ok I'm right here." I crouch down next to him, he.. he is crying.

"Please don't cry Kacchan, I'm right here." I try to place my hand on his shoulder but I fall through it.

I stare at my hand that is halfway through Kacchan's body, I feel my stomach fall and I stumble backward accidentally going through someone. It makes my stomach lurch as I feel like I'm drenched in ice. I fall to the ground and push myself away from everyone.
