Chapter 6: The Con-baby

You both chased after Noi until she and the ongis went on the bridge that Tuk Tuk couldn't follow Ram because of his size. "Let's find another way, Tuk Tuk!" You told him as he grunted before he went the other way with you riding him.

Ram solely chased them until they jumped down on the boats. "Hey, Watch out!" Ram grunted as he went to the riverside. The ongi that has Noi on his back hopped on the basket full of rambutan to Ram but he easily sliced them out of his way.

He kept his gaze on them before he slid himself down to the boat to catch them when they came towards him. But they outsmarted him by grabbing each other's hand and foot and throwing themselves over his head. Ram widened his eyes as Noi waved her hand with a smirk. "Bye!"

Ram then kept chasing them until Noi took her diaper off and threw it to distract him. "Ah! Diaper!" He luckily dodged it, the ongi quickly put the new diaper on her before they went to the tiny hole in the wall. Noi blew the raspberry at him before she jumped down, Ram jumped through it smoothly before continuing to chase to get the gems back.

You and Tuk Tuk who just arrived on the way guessed that Noi and her gang would come through there. "Close it, Tuk Tuk!" 

Tuk Tuk grunted in response before he turned his body to shut the fence, making the baby and ongis hit on it hard, making them bounce back to Ram. Ram pinned the tip of the sword on the ground as you jumped over the fence and approached him.

Noi and the ongis looked at him as he reached out his hand, gesturing the gem to give them back to him. Noi punched their stomachs to make them release the gem from their mouths. Ram grabbed them by his hand as you went to his side. 

"Thanks. So, it's none of our business, but using your baby charm to rip people off..." Ram kneeled as he booped her nose who grunted and flicked his hand away. "... is super sketchy."

You kneeled down to her height and you then asked her a question. "All right, where is your family?" 

Noi blew a raspberry as an answer before she gestured for the ongis to follow her. The smallest one gave both of you an answer by posing as the people who turned into the stone by the Druun.

"Oh... Right." You mumbled as you now understood their action. "They become the thieves for surviving." 

You watched Noi give the fruits to the ongis, you turned to Ram with a sympathetic gaze. Ram looked at Dang Hai's house before he had an idea that would please both of you and the gang. 

"Hey. How would you like to earn some honest loot?"

The gang turned with confusion as you turned to him with a delightful smile.

You told them to distract the guards so that the two of you could sneak inside and confront Dang Hai. You and Ram sneakily walked on the stairs before you found your target on the balcony. 

Ram pulled the sword up and then pointed it at him. "All right, Dang Hai, we'll take that Dragon Gem piece."

"Whoa! I'm not Dang Hai." Both of your eyes widened slightly as if he was someone else. 

"Who are you then?" You asked him politely. 

"I'm Chai, the flower guy." Chai replied as he gestured to the flower basket in his hand. 

"Where is Dang Hai?" Ram asked. 

"He's right over there." You both turned to see Dang Hai had turned into stone.
