Having dropped by to pick her up Abbacchio now sat in a small pastel blue coloured booth across from the (H/C) haired girl.
The cafe's interior was a matching blue colour, perhaps even lighter in tone while everything reminded him of retro movie settings. The menu itself even seemed to slightly resemble something from the 80's with it's large bubbly font and bright photos.
"Look they have purple lattes." Flipping the menu in place and sliding it towards the silent man a smile remained stretched out across her expression.
Upon entering the establishment she continuously held this look of childish excitement, something he couldn't find himself looking away from.
For the longest time he felt like there was no meaning- no purpose to his life. Day after day things tended to drag on without any change and yet she popped up.
Her insistence at first was bothersome- he just wanted to mope in peace after all.
But after a while he began to grow accustomed to her presence eventually giving in to her constant chatting.
"Order whatever you'd like." Musing that out he leaned back in place, eyes drifting across the ceiling before once again landing on her, they always landed on her.
Bobbing her head to what he'd said she wasted no time in flagging down one of the servers pointing to a few things he couldn't quite see, the lady in question hastily scribbling down each thing before leaving.
"What did you get?"
A hand was raised and a finger hovered before her lips, "It's a surprise."
Rolling his eyes faintly at her childish nature he released a hum, arm leaning onto the table followed by his chin onto his palm. Eyes now tracking across the various bystanders walking along the street outside.
Zoning out for a second or two he only really came back when a click sounded catching his attention instantly. Ombre hues trailed towards where (Y/N) sat seeing that her phone had been clutched in hand, camera pointed over towards where he was.
"Sorry you just looked so serene." Explaining herself and flipping the screen so that he could see, she was indeed right about how calm his expression was. It wasn't the usual natural frown he had but instead a soft faint smile.
"Is it alright? I can delete it if-" "No that's fine. It's a good photo anyways." Quickly cutting off what she was going to say he softly waved a hand her way opening his mouth to add on before a server had come over setting some things down onto the table.
Right away he could see two of the latte's she'd pointed to not too long ago, both having a small white heart in the foam sitting along the top. While beside the drinks sat two simple slices of strawberry cake.
He was familiar with the desert- never really trying it himself but it didn't look that bad.
Looking up from the two items he paused seeing the expression she held, if he thought she radiated childish glee from first entering he'd surely be wrong. Her eyes practically lit up upon settling themselves on the coloured drink followed by the perfectly presented desert.
It was such a perfect scene that he couldn't help but take a picture of it himself, the noise right away catching her attention before she merely smiled once more throwing up a heart with her hands.
Something he of course took a picture of.
"Have you ever tried the strawberry cake from here?" Asking that she took the edge of her fork slicing off the corner and popping it quickly into her mouth with a hum.
"Not particularly, Although I've never been a fan of strawber-" "Just try a bit." Abruptly interrupting what he was saying she leaned over the table extending her fork over, a piece of cake was neatly balanced over the top even if he had his own slice.
"I have my own-" "Just take it already, my arms getting tired." Cutting him off once more she waved the fork around some more till he finally just admitted defeat taking the desert from among it, the sweet flavour of it instantly made itself present.
Though now he wasn't sure if the cake was actually good or if it was just the combined factors of people and place.
Seeing that he had no look of visible disgust she let out a satisfied hum sitting back into her seat, "See? It's pretty good isn't it?"
"It is."
