A/N: Hey everyone 👋, this is my second to last chapter, I am going to try and finish the whole series by Sunday, Nov 28, 2021 so it will be exactly 1 year since I started! Anyway thank you for sticking with it even though... I never update in millions of years anyway, have a wonderful day y'all!

TW: GORE

Location: Classroom in the North Wing

POV: Cadogan

The last thing that he had heard outside the classroom was the running of multiple people, he guessed anywhere from 4-6 based on how many different pairs of footsteps there were.

Ten minutes go by before he or Levitt dare say anything, Levitt was the first to speak up, "My Shepherd, what do we do now?"

Cadogan sat there thinking to himself for a moment contemplating their next plan of action.

"We fight."

The iciness of Cadogan's tone scared Levitt, he was not a fighter... he was just a janitor who sometimes happened to moonlight as a M-CAP operator.

"I don't mean to question your decisions sir but, how," Levitt stated, "I mean i'm just a janitor I can't fight!"

Cadogan looked over to him.

"I know disciple, but what else can we do?"

For the first time Levitt truly realized that his Shepherd was just as human as he, as all of the people on planet Bardo.

"I'm sorry my shepherd but there must be another way!"

Cadogan could only keep his emotions at bay for so long, "Levitt i'm in charge here and I say that the decision is final!"

Levitt tried to hold back the scowl forming on his face, he couldn't believe he ever thought Cadogan was anything more than just a desperate man clinging onto people's need to believe in something, in someone.

"Of course, my Shepherd."

Cadogan didn't mention the way Levitt spit out his title like it was trash.

"Great, now help me breakdown the barricade,"

Levitt cursed under his breath but did what he was told anyway... he did not want to be stuck here with Cadogan any longer, he just wanted to find Octavia.

Once finished removing the barrier between them and their most certain death, he waited for the Shepherd to come up with a plan.

"We need to get off this planet," Cadogan thought aloud.

Levitt watched as his role model paced back and forth thinking heavily.

"We could try and get to the Stone Room and transport to Earth," he responded.

Cadogan acknowledged Levitt's suggestion with a mere nod.

"They will either, 1. Go to the Stone Room, or 2. Go to the outdoor simulation. Let's just assume the former."

They both knew Clarke and her people would most definitely go to the Stone Room first. However, that was something they didn't want to think.

"We need to go to the armory to get weapons,"

"Of course my shepherd. Wait! Mr. Lee always leaves extra sets of keys in his desk. Let me grab them so we can get in!" Levitt responded.
