Chapter 10

Donnie's POV

"Oh my let me see the ring!"

Chanel practically yelled as she rushed to get in front of me with wide eyes filled with excitement.

"Hold on a minute."

I said as I opened the box and revealed the ring I had spent months saving for.

It was an elegant silver that had diamonds in the middle of the band going all the way around the band.  The top of the ring looked like a flower blooming, real diamonds in each layer, and her name carved in the band.

"This is beautiful. How did you afford it?"

Chanel asked as she stared at the ring in amazement.

"The same way Raph afforded yours."

I said smirking at Raph who just chuckled and shook his head. Chanel looked at us slightly confused.

"And how was that?"

I could tell she was slightly annoyed not to be in on this conversation, she crossed her arms over her chest and raised a brow. Raph smiled and wrapped her arm over her shoulder and kissed her on the head.

"We worked for Isabelle. Leo and Mikey work for Kelly when they need money."

Raph said.

"What kinda work did you do?"

Chanel asked still confused.

"Well when I was saving up for your ring, she was still healing and couldn't do much on her own."

Raph explained before looking over at me.

"I've been teaching her Japanese. She's a quick learner."

I said before closing the box and looking back at the both of them.

"How do you plan on asking her?"

Chanel asked causing me to chuckle and shake my head.

"I don't know. That's what I need help with."

I said in defeat.

"Come on Einstein. She's your girl you know her better than any of us."

Raph said not really helping me with my predicament.

"She loves music Donnie and science. I can help you come up with something if you would like? But trust me Kelly will say yes."

Chanel said as she placed a hand on my shoulder, I gave her a smile but I noticed that she was hiding something deep within her eyes. If I hadn't have been her best friend I might have missed it, I was prepared to ask her what it was, but a voice behind me stopped me.

"Hey guys we have to go or were gonna be late."

We all turned to see Isabelle dressed and ready to go, and to my surprise she was wearing make up.

"I almost forgot. Let's go guys."

Chanel said as she walked towards the opening of the dojo, me and Raph close behind her. The four of us walked through the lair in silence, as Chanel went to grab her shoes, Raph went to grab his sias, and I walked into my lab. I carefully put the box back into it's hiding spot.

"Toki ni kanojo ni tanomu tsumoridesu ka?"

I turned around to see Isabelle smiling at means leaning against my lab table.

"Soon. I plan on doing it soon."

I said as I grabbed my bow staff and walked over to her. That's when I noticed a nasty bruise under her make up on her right cheek.

"Come on let's go."

She said as she walked towards the door.

"Anata no kao wa dõ natta no?"

I asked causing her to stop walking.

"I ran into Leo's doorframe. Come on Don let's go."

She said as she walked on out leaving me standing there by myself to mumble.

"There are way to many secrets around this place."

I said as I walked out shutting the door behind me.

Translation:
1."when are you going to ask her?"
2: "what happened to your face?"
