The adeptus sat atop of a hill looking down at Liyue. He was currently waiting for his significant other to finish catching his breath after all the climbing.
"I will never understand how you aren't tired. You're some kind of beast" Aether had spoke between breaths.
"I am a beast. I'm an adeptus, I'll never know how you fail to remember that" The birthday boy said, a small smile painting his face.
"I've never forgotten, but even adeptus get tired. You're just weird"
Xiao let out a small chuckle as he walked over to Aether helping him up. The blonde boy moved into a small passionate kiss. Xiao happily accepted and kissed back, moving his hands down to hug Aether's waist. He licked the other's lips for entrance, but was denied.
"We're saving that for later, birthday boy~" The other teased.
Aether then sat down and started laying out their picnic area. Xiao hates large crowds and doesn't deem his birthday a necessary celebration, so Aether decided to take him out on a nice date instead.
After everything was set the Yaksha sat next to his dear traveler and planted a kiss on the side of his jaw. The gesture earned a little giggle from the ever so slightly taller male.
Xiao had started eating his Almond Tofu his face practically glowing with each bite. Aether couldn't help but to stare at how impossibly adorable his boyfriend was in that moment.
"You've got a little something right here" he said, he then reached his hand over Xiao's lips over to the side of his mouth where a small piece of almond tofu rested. Xiao's face flushed pink, and he became flustered by Aether's sudden action. The traveler let out a sudden laugh, and a pretty loud one at that.
"Imagine if other people saw this, The conquerer of Demons who normally looks like they'd take your head off, flustered by such a small action!" He whisper yelled, trying to keep quiets and stifle his laughter. This remark made the other turn his head and pout.
"Heyy don't pout, I was only teasing"
"Hm"
"C'mon Xiao don't be like that"

Suddenly Xiao grabbed Aether's scarf and pulled him in. He connected the two's lips harshly, earning a noise from the other. He licked the other's lips for entrance, but was denied once again. He bit his poor boyfriend's lip causing him to open his mouth slightly. Xiao took the opportunity to shove his tongue deep into Aether's mouth, exploring every part. The slightly taller male couldn't help but to moan with each notion his boyfriend made. Xiao moved to deepen the kiss further earning more and more noises from him. The two finally parted for air, both of them panting (Aether more than Xiao). *End of the slight lemon*
After they each came down from the high of their pleasure, Aether spoke up.
"I thought I told you to save it for later" he playfully pouted while saying.
"I figured I'd take that as an apology for earlier" Xiao said boldly.
"Wh-whatever. Anyways. What is that you'd like for your birthday?"
"Can I..have anything?"
"Yes, but keep it pg of course" the other giggled.
Xiao blushed at what he was hinting towards, but that wasn't what he wanted anyways.
"Then, come here, It'll be pg I promise"
Aether moved over and sat infront of the adeptus, sitting so that Xiao could play in his hair. He started gently tucking individual flowers into Aether's braid, making sure to not undo the entire thing. After he finished Aether stood up and walked to the pond, looking at his reflections and admiring his lover's work.

He beamed brightly as he turned to face his talented lover "It looks amazing thank you xiao, I really like them" The other blushed both from Aether's bright smile, and from how the flowers suited him almost perfectly. _-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-
After sitting, talking, laughing, playing, and joking around for what felt like hours; the sun had set and the sky turned into a deep blue.
Xiao had the perfect birthday. He got to spend time with the one he loved the most for the entire day. Not having to worry about anything or anyone. And as they walked through to their room in Wangshuu inn the perfect date, and the best birthday the vigilant Yaksha had ever had came to and end.
