"Satoko Abiko?" The barista called. I smiled at them as I reached for the drink, and they did a double take, staring into my eyes. I tapped their hand lightly, and they seemed to break out of a trance as they blushed, and coffee in hand, I turned and sat at a little table.
Been a while since that's happened, I thought.
I sipped the drink and practically spewed it all over. It was very, very hot, and I wasn't going to be tasting anything for at least two days.
My phone pinged, and smiling, I pulled it out of my pocket. I was just happy someone was texting- anyone. Even if it was just a spam marketer, I always replied.
I pulled up Mina's chat. It's been a week since we started texting, and we get along very well. I still didn't know what Mina looked like, nor did Mina know my name, or anything about me, really. And yet I still feel like she knows me better than anyone has.
