Ch. 46: Race

Fast foward to the night of games at the beach.

Round Two - Find 4 objects

You and Levi easily dominated the first two rounds.

Last Round - The Race

Couples where sent to start at different areas at the foot of the mountain, so you don't know who you'll meet along the way.

You and Levi venture into the forested area. You clutch your fist, and look for a suitable stick for walking and attacking any unsuspected advances. You found one, sticking out of a bush and pulls it out to hold it in your hand. Swinging it in the air to test its weigh and mobility. You smile to yourself as iy was the perfect stick you're looking for.

"There aren't any titans here..are there?" you ask.

Levi glances at you, before grabbing a wooden stick into his own hand, "Doesn't seem like it, or this town would be wiped out already. They wouldn't be living this carefree."

Levi taps his wooden stick on the palm of his hand. As the two of you quickly rush to the middle section of the mountain.

You gaze to your left side, as you hear a rustle and branch crack under some weight.

Then you met the eyes of a man with his partner. Isn't that...Kyle..Kevin? You forgot. The silent one that was sitting beside Sean. Levi saw them too and keeps his gaze on them.

They're coming closer as they move uphill. They didn't even give a greeting, and as if it was a hunt for survival. You see the blonde man pulls out a small knife, the girl next to him did as well.

You widen your eyes at them, "Is the even allowed?!" you say, as the girl lunges at you with a knife, while the blonde guy goes for Levi.

You raise your wooden stick to quickly block and push her off. Now you're only  concentrating on the attacker in front of you. She slice her knife across the air as you backed up. You swing your wooden stick back at her, which the girl menacingly cut into the stick and knocked your stick out of your hand, with more advantage to her side as she knocked your stick to the ground.

She lunges at you once more, but judging by her stance even though she has a knife, you can see that she's not a professional. Just a girl with a knife that had no shame of using it to her advantage no matter the consequences. With the right timing and the use of her momentum, you step to the side and flips her over your shoulder.

"Oof," she grunts as her back lands harshly onto the ground covered by dead leaves and branches. The girl firmly holds on to her knife, and wiped up some dirt on the side of her face. Her facial expression showed great surprise, as she didn't expect you to be able to do anything.

Her partner, the blonde haired guy got a bit distracted by the the flip. As he looked over, Levi takes the chance to pull the guy's head down and smashed his knee into the guy's face. Then slams his knee once more into the blonde guy's stomach. Knocking the air out of him. 

The blonde guy lands harshly on the ground, dropping the knife along the way. Levi kicks the knife onto the toe cap of his boots, then kicks it up into the air, and catches the knife by the handle in mid-air. Levi glances at your direction to assess your situation, which he had no worries of you handling it yourself.

The girl wasn't giving up, as she hold her knife like she's about to stab you. You step to the side once more, grabbing her arm as it came down and twist it backward. Pulling her to land face down, as you swiftly grab the knife out of her hand. She tries to get up when you let her go. But you mercilessly shove her head down with your hand on her neck onto the dead leaves piled on the ground.
