The Drunk Bard

I didn't really check over this too well but whatever... I'm posting this early for a lovely friend of mine, you know who you are <3

"Another round!" The bard exclaimed to the red head at the bar. Poor Diluc has been through enough today, Venti has been here all day.

"No." Diluc said sternly.

"Venti, you are already drunk. Enough you do not need more" I tell him. Venti looks at Diluc and sighs then when he looks at me he makes puppy dog eyes "Please don't be mad"

"Why would I be-" Venti grabs the wine bottle and makes a run for it. I look around to make sure no one is watching.

Teleporting in front of him I grab the bottle out from his hand. Handing it back to Diluc I give him a good tip for all the trouble Venti has caused. "I'm so sorry Diluc, sometimes he can get put of control"

"It's a good thing you are basically his babysitter or else he would cause a whole lot more trouble" He sighs and we both watch as Venti falls to the floor trying to leave the tavern.

I let out a breath "Well I have to go make sure he doesn't cause anymore trouble." I say as Venti walks put the Tavern door. "Once again I apologize."

"Just try to stop him from causing trouble" The red head says as he polishes the wine bottle the archon had just tried to steal.

As I walk to the door I tell him "Have a good rest of your night Diluc"

He doesn't say anything and I didn't expect him to. Walking out of the tavern I look around for Venti. He couldn't have made it far. I spot Venti and rush over to him. I see him making his way to Barbara. Oh no. Not when Venti is drunk. I grab his shoulder as I run up to him and drag him away. "Venti you need to rest" I tell him.

"Ethe-" I panick a bit before stopping him. "Venti we are outside" Calmly trying to stop him from saying my real name. "Y/nnnnn" he whines "You're no fun"

I bring him to our house. Yes. I know you must be thinking. We share a house? How else will I keep an eye on him when he is drunk. Someone other than Barbara and Aether have to take care of him. Oh and Paimon, but I don't think she does much to help Venti since all Venti does is mock her. I love it when he mocks her it's hilarious, who knew an archon could be so childish.

"Why didn't you let me talk to Barbara?" Venti asks me slurring his words. I hold my nose with my index and thumb "You would have made her uncomfortable"

"But Y/-" he looks around to make sure no one is around. "We are inside Lord Barbatos" I tell him. "Ethereal, I jut wanted another dr-" he falls to the ground but before he hits the ground I catch him. I carry him bridal style to his room. "Go to bed Barbatos" I say as I pull the blanket over him.

"Ok Mom" I roll my eyes. "Don't you roll your eyes at me young lady, do you know who I am"

"Just go to bed Grandpa"

"Great now I have another nickname to add: Lord Barbatos, Venti, Tone blah blah Bard. Whatever that floating thing calls me-"

"Venti." I say glaring at him. "Ok ok gosh"

I walk out of his room closing the door behind me. Hopefully he drinks that water I put on his table next to him. Shuffling through drawer I grab the mail we had got today.

I have run into an old friend of yours in Liyue. He said he would love to come back into contact with you. The man also said that he has known you for many years and he would like to request that you come to Liyue-

Paimon she doesn't need your protection. Anyways he says he has a very important question to ask you. I have no idea when you will get this letter but he said he would meet you at the gates of Liyue on the 11th of this month.

That's in a few days. You have to be kidding me. If I want to make it with getting a good amount of rest I'll have to leave tomorrow in the afternoon.
