Lottie left the room with a huge smile on her face, Ellie had forgiven her; at last. She still wasn't very used to the 2 of them together but she was happy they were. They made each other smile like the sun and to see Jamie finally in love gave her satisfaction.
Jamie had always been tough and hard on himself. He never gave himself the chance to smile, he was raised to be Ellies partizan after all. Now he was smiling, he felt emotion! And it was all thanks to Lottie.
The 3 decided to have a little get together in Ellie's room before heading back to Rosewood the next Jamie had his arm around Lottie while she held his hand. "What are you guys going to do about your relationship?" Ellie asked, stuffing a handful of potato chips down her throat "You know, You're the 'princess' and Jamie's your partizan," Ellie had about 5 bags of food laid out in front of her and half of them were finished. Jamie and Lottie looked at each other and grinned. "We'll just date in secret,"
Life at Rosewood only got more difficult. Since the two had to stay a secret, it was hard not to put his arm around her waist or hug for no reason at all. Everytime Lottie entered a room, He just wanted to squeeze her with all his might. Ellie seemed to catch on to what he was feeling, she always caught him staring at Lottie, off guard, but Ellie gave him a brief scowl as a reminder that he wasn't in the palace anymore.
Ellie dragged them into their dorm one afternoon when all classes were over. "Guys!" she said, shutting the door "I can tell it's been so hard to date in secret. STOP. ACTING. LIKE. IT'S. NOT." Lottie and Jamie glanced at each other and blushed.
"Well, Ellie, we are going to have to keep it that way until you announce you're the princess,"
Jamie nodded and put his arm around Lottie's shoulder; he felt his skin tingle. Ellie winked at them "Precisely,"
Jamie shot up from his seat "Are you being serious right now?" he asked in his cold tone "Ellie, we can't risk that,"
The princess crossed her arms "But letting people believe that Lottie is actually the princess and putting her life at risk instead of mine just makes it oh-what-a-wonderful-world?"
"I'd rather let myself be at risk than lose my best friend," Lottie frowned, taking Ellies hand "Promise you'll think it through before you go do something completely crazy?"
'She's amazing' thought Jamie.
Ellie's lip twitched "You guys think about it too, I have to go to fencing practice,"
Lottie sprawled herself across her peachy-pink bed. Jamie was still stood up, looking at the doorway as his brows furrowed. "Just so you know, I'll never let her reveal her true self," Lottie said, standing up again. "I know," Jamie sighed; Lottie put her arms around his chest, squeezing him as comfort. Jamie stroked her arms and gave her a small kiss on her forehead. "It's completely mad," Lottie smiled after he pulled away "She'll be giving her last few years of freedom," Jamie nodded as he sat down in Lottie's pastel rainbow office chair and put his hand on his head.
