Kimetsu No Yaiba - highschool au oneshots

𝚂𝚞𝚛𝚙𝚛𝚒𝚜𝚎 𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚝𝚢

((this story is a separate timeline from the other one, so you're 16 turning 17!))

You woke up to the sound of your alarm screeching like crazy at your bedside table

looking around, you rub your temples to calm yourself down

What day is it?? You think to yourself, picking up your phone to check the date and time

12:30pm....MY BIRTHDAY!?!

You roll out of bed quickly, phone in hand

"Happy birthday sweetie!" Your parents yell from outside the door while you struggle with your shirt 

"Your friends are at the door!" They add

"Hold on! I don't have any clothes on yet!" You yell back, throwing your dirty pajamas onto the floor

You then rush to the bathroom to take a shower, brush your teeth, and do your hair. Today is a very special day, so you want to wear something nice

When you're done cleaning yourself you open your closet and snatch some clothes off of the rack quickly. You aren't going to school, since its a weekend, so you don't have to wear your dusty uniform

You rush to put on a brown plaid skirt and a white shirt, layering a brown hoodie on top of it and white legwarmers. Yeah, today's color scheme is neutral. 

You then run downstairs, shoving your phone into your pocket

"Who's here?" You ask your mom

"Zenitsu and Inosuke! They seem really excited" mom laughs

Ah, Zenitsu and Inosuke, two out of three of your closest friends. 

Zenitsu, a blonde boy who's spent his entire life in the city, has taken on a sort of motherly role in the friend group. When you first met him, he asked you for your number and then told you your outfit sucked when you rejected him. 

At some point, the two of you did become friends, and he started helping you style your outfits more. He worries a lot about you and doesn't want guys flirting with you, but it mostly stems from the fear that they might hurt you since he's come to know you as a very sweet person. 

Inosuke, or otherwise known as the dodgeball king, made a wild first impression on you when he hit you in the stomach with a dodgeball and you had to go to the hospital afterward. After being scolded by Zenitsu he apologized profusely, and the two of you became friends. 

Since he's more of an actions guy than an academically successful guy like Zenitsu, he shows his appreciation by carrying you around sometimes or bringing you things he found outside. He's probably the sweetest, dumbest guy you've ever met, so you're glad he showed up today.

You rush to put your shoes on and open the door

Upon opening the door, the eager faces of the boys are there to greet you...and they don't have any gifts in their hands?! 

Oh well, at least they're dressed nice. Inosuke is wearing a shirt that actually covers his body, and an unzipped jacket with baggy jeans

Zenitsu is next to him wearing a bucket hat and a shirt layered over a hoodie. He also has on long shorts with his socks showing

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY (Y/N)" They both yell at the same time, pulling you into a hug

"OOF--HEY!" You squeak, suffocating between them

"YO, TOOK YA LONG ENOUGH" Inosuke cackles, and Zenitsu elbows him

"Pfft...Whatever" You smile

"Where's Tanjiro??" You ask
