The year is 3251, and we here at the physics and engineering research division have made a discovery!
After two straight years of looking into the possibility of inter-galactic travel, we've discovered that by using the power of two stars similarly to the dison sphere and gateway tech, we can make a ship reach many million times the speed of light and travel between galaxies within a Vennalan lifetime! it still take nine months to reach the destination, but with the right resources, we can send an ample fleet to other galaxies!

That was physics science officer Zaion when he, along with engineering science officer Alladar, finished his research into intergalactic travel. The reasons for this research aren't quite known to the fullest, but what is known is this: the United Star Systems want to continue it's goal, to eliminate threats to sentient life. In 3286, the Intergalactic Portal was finished in the Kerbol system, and a huge fleet of ships - both civilian and military - began assembling in the system.
When these ships finally reached the Ballonix galaxy, their first objective was simple: find a habitable world. they had nearly a billion people spit between their ships, and they couldn't stay in orbit for long. The world they found was a continental world, I.E. Earth, the world WoF takes place on(and thus is where most of the RP will happen).
