A FEW DAYS HAD passed and the Third Task was looming closer. The news Corvus had woken up to was completely unexpected.
When he and Vincent walked to breakfast, they weren't expecting Verenity to bolt over to them from Gryffindor table where she and ceil sat to shove a paper in their hands.
"What are you doing?" Corvus sneered a bit, a little annoyed because he was tired. He snatched the paper from her hands and his eyes widened.
"No fucking way." He gasped.
"Yes fucking way." Verenity countered. Ceil was watching them with an amused expression, as he had not gotten up and Vincent with a confused one.
"What?" He frowned. Corvus shoved the paper in his hands. Vincent's eyes widened as well.
"Well, at least it explains why Crouch was missing at the Second Task." Vincent supplied. He lead the way to Gryffindor table, staring at the paper.
"Crouch was missing?" Corvus and Verenity said in sync as they sat down. Ceil and Vincent scoffed. "Duh." Just then he had noticed Harry, Hermione, and Ron. With a mumbled 'bye' and the grab of his coffee cup, he went down to where the trio were sat.
