"I told you to stop sacrificing yourself every chance you get! You could end up getting seriously injured!" Marinette exclaimed, tending to Chat's wounds.
"You and I both know it's for your own safety, princess."
"And what about your own safety?!"
When she blurted that out, it silenced them both.
"I...I just don't like seeing you get hurt so much."
"Hey," he began softly, reaching up to cup her cheek gently so he could tilt her head to look at him. "I'll be okay. Although I'll stop putting myself in the line of danger when you look out for yourself more often. It kills me seeing you injured, y'know."
She shot him a half-smile, leaning into his hand and closing her eyes in content.
"I promise."
"Good choice."
