She was hurting, what have I done?? I stared crying in Maria's arms. Never in my life have I hurt her like this before. We were sitting on the sofas in the living room, me still in Maria's arms crying. The boys came in and when they saw me they rushed towards me, Noah was the first one to get by my side, Maria stood up and Noah sat where she was sitting. Then came Adam, Mia and James were here too.
"Whats wrong bub" he asked all worried. "She knows" Maria replied, "What?" Adam asked. "She knows we lied to her, she knows Adam went back to those people and she thinks that's her fault" I said still crying.
They all stood there speechless, "Let's go" Noah said, "Where?" I asked. "To her" he replied. We all climbed the stairs and stood in front of her door. We could hear her crying, she sounded hurt, Adam knocked the door "Babe" he almost whispered, he was scared. There was no sound, we waited for 5 minutes but still no answer.
I turned to Adam, he was, I have no words to explain his expression or condition. Just then the door opened and Ivy stepped out of her room, her face was swollen, her eyes were blood shot red almost as if she was bleeding. She looked miserable, Adam went by her side but she just pushed him away.
"Look the lairs are back" she said, we all looked down " god I trust people so easily, my best friends, boyfriend and even my sister all lied to my face and I like a foolish little girl believed them, I am such a fool" she said slapping herself, I could not stand this she was hurting.
"Ivy listen..." Adam tried to say something but she cut him off "you are in no position to talk". "Ivy just listen to him" Mia said James agreed "Oh look who came to visit us I must be blessed, the girl who tells me everything and the guys who says he love me more than his sister, oh wait do you?" she said without even regretting. "Ivy let him explain" Noah said. No Noah
'Oh my so called guy best friend whom I shared everything with, who was with me all the times, who told me everything even if he would get beaten up at the end, it meant nothing did it' she said. Noah was shaken. Then she turned to Adam "oh look someone is back from his personal stuff leave" Ivy said, still no emotions in her eyes, it was as if she just turned them off.
"You all lied to me, these two" she said pointing to me and Maria "were with me the whole day, Noah whom I love and trust, my own sister, Mia whom I always though as my sister, James who laughed with me and took my trust, and my dear dear boyfriend, you all lied to me at my face and I just like a lost puppy followed whatever you said". "I don't really care what the reason was, you all knew but no one told me, you betrayed me, you know you are worse than him at least he had never lied at my face".
She turned once before going back to her bedroom and said "You guys broke me today, I never felt this kind of pain, it hurts" and then slammed her door shut. We all stood there tears welled up in our eyes, we could feel the guilt, all of that in our throat. I looked at Noah he was shivering, he betrayed his best friend, that girl who saved her from every trouble at school that girl he spent his childhood with, I betrayed my blood sister the one I spent my days happily with. Adam broke his girlfriend whom he loved from the bottom of his heart. Mia, James and Maria broke their best friend whom they shared their sweet memories with.
We had no excuse, we slowly walked towards the living and sat there is silence. We all knew that she would never ever forget us and would not feel anything.
ADAM
I was shocked when I heard that Ivy knows what we were up to,I had to gather up all of my courage just to walk up to her room. How was I supposed to justify for what I did? and moreover I accomplished nothing.
I already knew who told her, Andrew. When Ivy opened the door I felt dead, she looked like a whole mess, worse. She was not shouting at us, as she was talking she kept her voice calm and did not break even once. She was broken.
Ivy looked at me in the eye and all the cheerfulness and love I used to see there was gone, she seemed emotionless. I knew that she was taking the fault at her, she thinks that its her every time. She was hurting deeply.
She shut the door at our faces at I knew she was not gonna open it, I looked around Mia, James and Maria were supporting each other, Amy and Noah came to me. Amy looked awful and so did Noah. Noah, never in his life had ever lied to her no matter what, and made him do that and the result was this.
We all felt guilty, her words cut us through like a bullet. We all went down to the living room and sat down, thinking. What have we done? I was a foolish guy, how can I go back to them? We lied to her and we had no idea what the consequences were going to be.
Every single time she had a breakdown she had one of us by her side, now that we were the one at fault whom was she gonna go to. Who was going to be her shoulder which she will cry on? Who will hold her when she will have one of her breakdowns.
I had to do something, we have to do something, we can't just let her suffer like this forever. Even if she is mad as hell we have to come up with something or else she will slowly die from inside.
