After Party
"Jordan, Constance we're leaving" Laura finds us
"Yes ma'am" Jordan sniffs helping me up
"Hey where ya'll be- Jordan have you been crying" Billy looks at Jordan's eyes
"Um" Jordan tries to find words
"Your eyes and nose are super red and voice isn't Jordan like" Billy tried to joke
"Um, just get him in the car" Laura kissed my forehead
"Yes ma'am" I led him to the car
At the Baker house
Jordan's getting ready for bed and your getting ready to go home and visit your family for the weekend
"I actually want you to sleep Jordan" I argued with him
"How" He argued back
"Don't think about it, a matter of fact go to sleep before I leave" I kissed his forehead
"Fine let me go say good night to my parents" He walked downstairs with me following him
"Night mom" Jordan hugged his mom
"Night Jordan, see you late Constance" She put her book down to go to bed
"Where's dad" Jordan asked
"Oh, I think he's in his office talking to Spencer" She informed
"Kk" Jordan left the room
Before Jordan and I opened the door it was cracked enough for us the hear Coach Baker speak.
"I'm glad your on the team son" Billy proudly said to Spencer
"Thank you" Spencer took the compliment
"You'd be an amazing QB" Coach Baker continued to say to Spencer
"Thank you but I think Jordan's a good QB" Spencer gave Jordan credit
"Yeah but sometimes it's like he's a walking disaster" Coach Baker sorta laughed
When I heard that last sentence I instantly looked up at Jordan who was now crying and instantly opened the door making a disappointed towards Coach Baker.
"Walking disaster huh?" Jordan cried
"Jordan" Coach Baker just said now knowing his son just heard everything he said
"You know maybe Spencer would be a better QB than me" Jordan cried harder
"Man, Jordan it was a joke" Billy tried to help it
"Oh, is it still a joke still the same joke you did with Asher and JJ" Jordan gave up and just ran upstairs most likely crying.
"Shit" Billy whispered to himself
"Constance" He looked up
"NO, DON'T CONSTANCE ME YOU NEVER ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR ONLY SON HE DOESN'T FEEL NEEDED. HE DOESN'T THINK YOU SEE HIM JORDAN IS SO STRONG AND WHEN YOU CALL SPENCER SON AND TREAT HIM LIKE A SON IT BROKE HIM, I DON'T WANT TO SEE JORDAN HURT. JORDAN IS A DAMN GOOD QB AND WITH ALL DUE RESPECT HE SHOULD KNOW THAT AND YOUR NOT DOING A GOOD JOB OF IT. I'M SORRY BUT BILLY BAKER YOU ARE A HORRIBLE FATHER TO HIM." I yelled not realizing
Billy just sat in shock
"Um, Constance let's go" Spencer walked out
"Please" I followed
On the way to Crenshaw
"Damn Constance I've never seen you that mad before" Spencer laughed
"I've never been that mad" I confess
"Is that really how he feel" Spencer looked like he caused someone pain
"Yea, but you know he don't blame you right" I made sure he knew
"Yea but I blame myself" Spencer breathe
"You can't blame yourself for everything Spence" I told him as I stopped at my front door
"You right, but I won't sleep right knowing Jordan probably crying himself to sleep cause of me" Spencer told me sadly after walking away
I thought about that and felt a tear drop down my eye. I knocked on the door with an answer from Patience.
"Hey sis, why is there a tear" She asked concerned
"He, Jordan is clearer than glass to his dad" A choked
"Oh my" She put her hand over his mouth
"And we're dating" I smiled
"Yes babes" She hugged me as I hugged her back
"Yay" I cried happy for me and sad for him
"You know just cause he said Jordan wouldn't want you to be sad" Patience wiped my tears
