Me and Justin had made things official about a month ago and everything has been pretty smooth sailing.
"Come on get up your ready to go looking for apartments?" My mom said while opening my door.
"Ughhh why can't I just live with y'all for the rest of my life." I said.
"Girl because me and your dad wanna fuck like we were fucking before we had kids."
"That's just plain disgusting." I said while looking at her with a slight mug.
"Girl you acting like you and Justin just soooo innocent."
"We are." I said while smiling.
"Girl. I see how you be walking I just ain't ever say shit now get up before I kill you." She said and I laughed.
I got up and went to the bathroom and did all of my hygiene. I put on a pair of jeans with a tank top and a pair of ones.
I put some carmex on and picked up my keys and walked to the living room.
"Come on. We driving my car." I said and she got up and we walked outside to my car.
We got in and I drove off. "So where the first one at?" I asked.
"It's a apartment complex next to Lake Eola Park." She said and I nodded.
"I'm already knowing this one gon be nice." I said and she nodded. We pulled up to the complex and walked up the stairs to the apartment.
We opened the door and when we walked in my mom kind of tilted her head when she saw who was standing there.
I looked around her to see two women standing there that looked similar.
"Hello how are y'all-" she said and once she turned around she paused.
"Hey Ashley. You look great." My mom said.
"Hey Zaniyah and thank you." She said back kind of weird.
I looked at them kind of confused. "Are y'all okay? Do y'all know each other or something?" I asked.
"We have a little history with one another." My mom said and I squinted at her.
"Mom you guys know one another what happened?" The girl said. "Hi I'm Autumn. I'm sorry." She said while extending her hand to me and my mom.
"Yea we did have a history with one another. But nothing that matters now. Can I show you guys around? I'm sure you'll love it here." She said.
"Okay so this is a 3 bedroom apartment. It's very modern and anything that needs to be fixed or operated on will be handled expeditiously." She said.
She showed us around the apartment and I absolutely loved it. It was just the touch of modern and cuteness I was looking for. It gave me a very great view of the lake and it came with furniture for the deck.
"I'll take it." I said and Ashley nodded.
"Alright I will just give you these papers to sign and once you pay your deposit you will be given the keys and you can move in when you please." She said while smiling and reaching her hand out to me and I shook it.
"Thank you guys. It was good seeing you also Zaniyah." She said while smiling toward my mom and my mom gave her a small smile back.
We all went back downstairs and went our separate ways.
Once we got in the car I turned my mom in my seat. "What was that? Did y'all know each other?" I asked and she nodded.
"We have a history." She said while looking out of the window.
"What happened?" I asked while looking at her.
She looked over at me and shook her head. "So. Me and Ashley met because she was your dads ex. While I was pregnant with you I had many issues with her trying to get back into his life and many times she tried to hurt me and you in order to do so." She said and I tilted my head at her.
"I shouldn't have let it go on for that long but it did. When I had you she was still an issue so I took her from her house and I was about to kill her."
"Why didn't you? What caused you to stop?" I asked.
"Her daughter." She said while sighing. "I couldn't live knowing that I took a mother away from her daughter. She needed her. When we first kidnapped Ashley her daughter asked about her everyday. I just couldn't do it. As hard as I tried." She said and I reached across and hugged her.
"Mama. It's okay. I understand. At least it looks like she's doing good with her life now." I said and she nodded.
"I'm happy for her." She said.
My phone rung and I told my mom to answer it.
"Hey." My mom said and I looked over to see Justin in the camera.
"Wassup mama." He said while cheesing at her.
"Boy calm down. All that smiling." She said and he laughed.
She put my phone on the little stand on my dashboard and he smiled again when he saw me.
"Justinnnnn guess what!" I said while glancing at my phone.
"What?" He said while looking up at the tv and I could tell he was playing his game.
"Me and mama went to look at apartments and I found one that I like." I said.
"Congratulations baby." He said and i smiled.
We talked for a few more minutes until we got home.
We both walked into the house and went into the kitchen to see Olivia eating a bowl of cereal.
"Hey y'all." She said while looking up and showing a small smile.
"Heyyy. How did the doctors appointment go today?" I asked.
"Gooodd." She said while taking a envelope and some pictures from her purse.
"They put the gender inside." She said and mama smiled.
She grabbed the envelope and opened it. She smiled when she saw what the gender was. I personally wanted to be surprised so I don't look.
"Okayyy. Let me get to planning this right now. I'm soooo excited." Mama said while smiling.
"Sereiya can we talk about something?" She said and I nodded.
"Meet me in the movie room." I said and she nodded and walked to the sink to wash her bowl while I walked away.
After I sat on my phone for a little while she walked in. "What's wrong?" I said.
"I didn't wanna say this around mama because you know she crazy but these girls been trying to bully me at school." She said.
"What do you mean? What are they doing?" I asked.
"Before I was showing it wasn't a problem but now that I'm showing everybody got something to say. Like I'm a hoe and Ryan don't even want me for real and people think I'm using Ryan and trying to pin the baby on him." She said and I shook my head.
"Typical hoes. Don't let them bother you. You know where you and Ryan stand. You don't have to please them." I said and she nodded.
