The first step of getting them on was going for a examination to see how bad my teeth were and when I will get them. After all that was done I went to the orthodontist to get my top braces on. They had to put these things in my mouth to hold my cheeks out from near my teeth, after a while my tounge got really dry. The first step was meeting the braces on, one by one they put one bracket on each tooth. Once they we're done that they put a wire on and cut it to the right size so it wouldn't poke the back of my mouth or my cheeks. After they got the wire on they put the elastics on, the colour of my choice. The mini elastics are to tighten your braces to change your teeth and straighten them. A month later they put the bottom braces on and did the exact same process. Every month they tighten and change the elastics on my braces. I was suppost to have them on for 18 months but I still have them on today witch is Feb, 25,2015 so I should get them off in March 2016.
