Aromantics are basically people who don't ever experience romantic attraction aka the wanting to date, be in a romantic relationship and y'know, that things. That doesn't mean that we're emotionless, it just means that we don't fall in love.
That also doesn't mean that we'll alone together because there are things like "friendships" or "queerplatonic relationships".

And for all people who are not alloromantic (=they experience romo in a "normal" way) but also don't not experience romo, there is the aromantic spectrum. And that's basically what this book is for: Explaining as many identities on the aromantic spectrum as possible.
