Fear

The following night Y/n and Jason went back to being Red X and Red Hood. They went on patrol with Nightwing.

"Guys there are multiple criminals at Batman and Robin's location. Hurry this could be dangerous" Oracle explained quickly. Without hesitation the three quickly moved trying to get to the location. When they got there they saw Poison Ivy, Bane, Scarecrow, Two-face and The Joker. Robin was fighting Bane and Batman was fighting Two-Face. Bane ended up throwing Robin on the floor hard. Bane was a very large man and could crush Robin in a second so Red X ran in front of Robin and throwing a restraint around Bane.

"Go" Red X yelled at Robin. After a few seconds Bane broke loose from the restraint. Red X's eyes widened with fear.

How did he do that. There's no way he could've broke that restraint. Y/n thought backing away from Bane. Then she thought of something. She tested everything she had on her suit except one thing: Xenothium by itself.

I hope this doesn't kill him Y/n thought getting the red liquid and rubbing it on one of her shurikens. She threw it at his chest.

"AHHH" He yelled in pain dropping to his knees. Y/n walked up to him and put two fingers to his neck. His pulse wasn't slowing down so she was okay to go help the others. Batman was still fighting Two-face, Nightwing was fighting Poison Ivy with Robin's help and Red Hood was fighting Scarecrow. From the looks of it, Scarecrow had the upper hand. Red Hood was on his knees and was shaking with fear.

"Batman!" Red X yelled. He looked in her direction.

"Is he human?" Red X asked pointed at Scarecrow

"Not right now" Batman replied

"Do you have a syringe?" Red X asked

"Yes" Batman replied

"Give it to me" Red X said quickly. Batman threw a syringe her way and Red X caught it and poured the Xenothium into it. Red X ran towards Scarecrow and shoved the syringe into his back. He turned around facing her.

"You!" He said. Scarecrow's voice was raspy and intimidating. It sounded like he screamed for a long time. Red X backed away from Scarecrow

"I know what scares you little girl" He said to Red X.

How does he know Y/n thought. Most people thought that Y/n was a male when she put on the suit but somehow Scarecrow knew her gender

"Red X don't inhale that gas" Nightwing yelled. Scarecrow was getting closer and closer to Red X until he fell flat on the ground. The Xenothium worked slowly on Scarecrow but it still worked.

"Red Hood are you okay?" Red X asked. He didn't answer Red X.

"Red X you'll end up like him if you inhale that gas. You have to wait" Nightwing

"Oracle what is that gas?" Red X asked

"It's fear gas. It makes people see their worst fears and sometimes people even die from it" Oracle explained

"X wait for the gas to go away and help us!" Nightwing yelled at Red X.

"Where's Joker?" Y/n asked.

"He went that way" Robin pointed to an empty storage unit. Red X ran to the unit and saw The Joker. She immediately tensed up and took out a shuriken.

"You can't kill me, princess" The Joker said. Y/n was burning with anger but she kept it in. Red X took a deep breath in and calmly walked over to Joker and slapped him like he slapped her thirteen years ago

"Remember me, asshole?" Red X asked aggressively

"Did I kidnap you or something?" Joker asked. Red X threw him to the ground and pulled off her mask

"Does this ring a bell?" Red X said angrily

"Ohhh you're that girl from 13 years ago, how are your parents?" Joker laughed. Red X was tired of him disrespecting her parents so she just threw a few blows at him until he passed out and left. She got back to see if Red Hood was okay. The fear gas had finally went away and she kneeled down in front of him.

"Are you okay Jason?" She asked. He didn't say a single word, he just hugged Y/n and cried quietly. Batman defeated Two-face and Nightwing and Robin had defeated Poison Ivy.

"Let's go home Jason" Y/n said softly. He got up and they when to his apartment

Time skip to Jason's apartment

"You okay" Y/n asked concerned for her boyfriend. He nodded and put on a fake smile. Y/n changed out of her suit and put on one of Jason's T-shirts and then sat on the bed next to Jason, holding his hand.

"Tell me, what happened" Y/n said

"I inhaled the fear gas and I was gone" Jason said with a broken voice. Y/n wrapped her arms around him and he cried again

"I was scared I actually lost you" He said holding Y/n by the waist

"I was scared too. Babs told me that the fear gas could kill people and you're the first person I have ever loved" Y/n explained

"I'm sorry Y/n, you probably think I'm weak" Jason apologized

"No, you're one of the strongest people I know" Y/n said. She kissed his forehead and held him closer. After Jason fell asleep she went to the kitchen and made a cup of ramen. After a few minutes Jason realized Y/n wasn't in bed with him and he looked around the apartment for her

"Why'd you leave me?" He asked her

"Sorry, I got hungry and I thought you were asleep" Y/n said. Jason hugged her from behind and squeezed her a little

"You know I'm lonely without you right?" He said. After Y/n finished her ramen the two went back to bed. Jason fell asleep holding onto Y/n tightly.

Still a softie Y/n thought
