The brunette looked around with a soft smile as she cleaned the table in front of her. Sighing, she pushed the rag away and smiled as the door bell rung.

It meant she had customers to take care of. With the same soft smile on her lips, she bowed at the group of five boys and cleaned her notes page, " Hello. What would you like to eat? "

One of them hummed, " Five orders of tteokbokki-"

" Yah, " Another one cut them off,
" Five?! Really? "

Y/n bit her lower lip as it stretched wider while the boy in front of her flushed in embarrassment.
" W-What? I meant one for each of us! "

" Aish, this punk! Hurry and order! I'll be sitting there! " She heard and looked at the boy expectantly.

Finally after a good few minutes of discussion, he ordered and Y/n politely told them to wait before sending off the order to the chef.

Once it was done, she grabbed the tray and made her way towards the table she had seen the group disperse to and set the tray. " Enjoy your food—"

" Thank you! " The same boy said loudly, startling her. Y/n smiled and turned on her heels, rushing off. It'd be rude to laugh in front of him, so she held it back.

As usual, she greeted the customers and took their orders, serving them food while she worked her part time.

Smiling to herself after her shift ended, she changed and grabbed herself some snacks and drinks and started making her way back.

Her smile only widened as she saw her favorite person stepping out of the building. " Go Woonie! "

She beamed, grinning at her best friend as she neared. She was so in luck to be staying in the same apartment building as her best friend, it was easier for her that way.

She got to go school with her everyday and come back without any worry of being alone.

" N/n! Are you done with your shift? " She nodded, smiling. " Yeah, I just got back. Is mum downstairs or up? "

" Oh, she's upstairs I guess. " Y/n nodded, " I'll come by later for homework! "

She called as she ran upstairs to see her mother. Mae Y/n had been living with her mother for as long as she could recall.

It was just her and her mother ever since she was five, her heart filling with sadness when she had heard her mother tell her that her father had left when she was five.

It didn't get her at first. But she slowly started to realize it was important to have a father's support in life when her mother fell sick terminally.

Thankfully, because she had worked hard and earned, her mother's treatment was going well and she couldn't be more glad.

Finding her mother resting in the living room couch, she smiled softly and set aside everything that had been scattered and grabbed her bag.
