Legacy Day is the day when second year students at Ever After High signed their
page in the Storybook of Legends and their destinies. While some students' destinies
were better than others, Raven Queen, daughter of the Evil Queen decided to not sign
all together.  That selfish action insured that the destinies of Apple White, Daring
Charming, Hunter Huntsman, and other members of the Snow White fairy tale were in
terrible danger. If they don’t play out their story they will go poof, which is something no
one wants. As the daughter of the Duchess in the Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland
story, my destiny wasn’t as great as say, Apple’s but I am required to play my part for
the good of Wonderland.
“I can’t believe Raven didn’t sign, I mean how selfish can she be?” I was sitting
on my bed in Darling’s and my dorm room ranting. “Because of her, Apple and your
brother could go poof! Aren’t you the least bit worried?” “Of course I’m worried, Diana.
Daring is my brother and Apple is my friend. I don’t want them to go poof either.” She
sat across the room on her own bed, her long white blonde and blue hair streaming out
around her head. “We should probably start working on the Princessology homework
though. Mrs. Her Majesty the White Queen wants us to memorise these crown types by
Friday and there are an awful lot of them.” “You are right.” I sighed.

“Keep smiling ladies, that’s it, don’t stop until I say to, aaand stop. That was
lovely work ladies. Don’t forget to practice as much as possible and I’ll see you last
Wednesday.” Mrs. Her Majesty the White Queen’s Princessology class was filled to the
brim with activities that Headmaster Grimm thought especially important for princesses
and other young ladies to learn. “Apple, are you alright?” Apple White was usually
chipper and happy, anoughingly so, but today she just looked down right sad. “IIIt’s
RRRaven,” she sobbed “iiif she dddoesn’t bbbecome the EEEvil QQueen what will
happen to Daring and I? HHow will we get our happily ever after?” “Well,” I sighed, “I am
not sure, but it might help if you could get Raven to see this from your, our, point of view
it might help convince her to reconsider not signing the Storybook of Legends.” Wiping

her tears away, Apple said “Thank you Diana. I really appreciate you doing this. You
didn’t have to, you know.” “ I did, you were upset and I needed to help in any way
possible. Isn’t that one of the lessons Mrs. Her Majesty the White Queen is teaching
us?”
As I opened my email I saw an evite from PartyRoseGurl5. “You are cordially
invited to Briar Beauty’s epic Book to School Party!” As the daughter of Sleeping Beauty
Briar was destined to sleep for a hundred years, but before she did she wanted to party
as much as possible with her friends. Her party’s were legendary and usually she
invited her entire class, this time however it appeared as if she only invited the Royals.
The Royals were not all actually royals; they are the group of students who want to stay
true to their predetermined destiny. The Rebel’s on the other hand were the students
who didn’t want to sign their destinies. I am a Royal and proud of it. The evite proved
that my classmates say me that way too. “Hey Darling, are you going to go to Briar’s
party tomorrow night? Darling?” I could have sworn she was in our room. Darling has
been acting awfully odd lately. I wonder what that could be about.
As I walked into the Royal Commonroom my eyes searched out someone I knew
would have been invited, but I wasn’t sure if she would come. “Off with your head!”
Lizzie entered the room as loud and fierce as her outfit, ignoring the weird looks she
was receiving. “Your Royal Highness,” I greeted her with a small curtsy. As my mother
often told me “As a loyal citizen of Wonderland it is your duty to assist our princess in
any way possible.” Over the years she had become one of my closest friends. “How
was your-”
I was interrupted by the disco ball thundering to the floor, scattering the people
that were dancing beneath it. The lights and music also went out. There were choruses
of “What happened?” and “What’s going on”. “The Rebels are attacking us!” Duchess
Swan shouted. Lizzie glared at her roommate and said, “The Rebels are not organized
enough for an attack of this magnitude. Even if they were, Raven isn’t one to drop disco
balls or shut off electricity.” The guests of the party were looking at her in shook at the
sudden burst of information from a girl who usually made so little sense to them. “Yeah, I
read your boring Ever After books.” “ Well if it isn’t Raven then who was it?” Duchess
snapped. Lizzie brought herself up to her full height, which admittedly wasn’t very much,
and responded “I don’t know Duchess but sitting here arguing isn’t helping. Come on
Diana let’s go.” I followed her to the door, but when we tried to open the door, it wouldn’t

move. “Oh my hex. The door’s locked, what are we going to do?” Using the light of her
phone Apple White walked over. “We could try calling someone but I don’t think anyone
is going to come. They were pretty mad about not being invited to the party, the bad
kind not the good kind.” “Fear not,  fair maiden.” I rolled my eyes, “I will break the
window with my manly strength and climb down to get Headmaster Grimm.” At that
Daring Charming threw a chair through the window. “Now what is something I could use
as rope? Ah, Holly would you mind cutting off some of your hair for the rope?” Holly
O’Hair, Rapuenzal’s eldest daughter, cut off the appropriate length and handed it to him.
RING! RING! RING! Raven Queen? Why was Raven Queen calling me on a
Saturday night? “Hello?” “Hey Diana, it’s Raven I’m calling about the Museic class
homework. I wrote it down but I put it into my Mirror Phone, but it's dead and you know
the power’s out. Oh hex. You’re at Briar’s party, aren’t you? I’m so sorry.” “That’s ok,
with the power out it’s not that much fun anyway. But I did get to see Daring throw a
chair.” “Why was Daring throwing chairs?” “The doors are locked and nobody thought
you guys would help us so he’s climbing down the side of the school.” “Don’t worry, I’ll
go get a teacher.” BING! She hung up.
Ten minutes later Headmaster Grimm opened the doors to the Royal Common
Room. “All students are expected to be in the auditorium in ten minutes for a brief
assembly.” He announced as we filed out of the room.
Once we were all seated Headmaster Grimm approached the podium and
started his speech. “Now I apologize to the students who were woken for the assembly,
but as you can tell the power is out. Though it should be back on in a few minutes”, As
he said this the lights turned back on, “ that’s better. Anyways, we are still unaware at
this time whether this was a childish prank or an attack on the school. For the time
being you will go back to your dorms and,” Madam Yaga floated over to him and
whispered something in his ear. “Madam Yaga has just informed me that she has
discovered who is responsible. It was indeed a prank. You are safe, now off to bed. Yes,
Ms. White?” Apple had quickly raised her hand passionately. “Headmaster Grimm, who
is responsible?” The headmaster looked as if he was conflicted about how to respond.
“Ms. White, the offender is Kitty Cheshire. She will receive detention but will not have a
severe punishment as she was simply following her destiny. Now, to bed.”
I wasn’t overly surprised about the events of this evening. Kitty was always
pulling petty pranks. She loved causing chaos just like her mother. What surprised me

was Raven’s behavior. She didn’t have to get help for us. She could have just forgotten
about it and gone to bed. Maybe she wasn’t so bad after all.
