ALEXA WALKED DOWNSTAIRS FOR thanksgiving lunch, to see her father and brother already sat at the kitchen island waiting for her. She grinned sitting down beside the pair, they started eating in a comfortable silence. "This is nice" Lexi smiled

"Yeah, you don't see a lot of hot wings and instant mashed potatoes in the history books" Mike chuckled

Lexi giggled "It's better this way"

"You know, we should bring leftovers to Aunt Judy's later" Mike suggested

The twins shared a look of guilt for a moment "About that" Lexi started "Ashlyn is is having a small late night party thing"

"How late?"

"it starts at eight" Ricky said "We roll hard"

Mike nodded "And this is the theatre gang, i assume?" the pair nodded "That's fine, you guys stay and i'll go to my sisters"

"Thanks dad" Lexi grinned

"And hey, if you get lonely, you could just randomly text our drama teacher"

Lexi let out a laugh at that as Mike shook his head, uttering a "Too soon, Rick"

They sat in silence for a moment longer he spoke up again, speaking with a little more caution "I think you guys need to call your mom, i know it's tough doing the holidays without her, but she really misses you guys, she's all alone in Chicago. she's waiting for a call" he explained

"i'm working up to it" Ricky said

Lexi smiled "I'll do it now"

Without another word she stood up, grabbing her phone and walking to her bedroom. She pressed her phone to her ear after clicking on her moms contact. It rang for a few minutes before Lynn answered.

"Hi Honey" she said

"Hi mom, happy thanksgiving" Lexi grinned

"i'm so glad you called, baby. i miss you so much, the holidays just aren't the same without you guys" Lynn told her daughter

Lexi nodded, despite her mom not being able to see "I miss you too, it was strange doing thanksgiving without you this year. How are you?"

"I'm good thank you, how about you? i heard you had a little wobble at school the other day" Lynn's voice was concerned

"I'm okay, something went down at homecoming and i got sick, then i over worked myself and fainted, but i'm okay now" Lexi explained

Lynn chuckled slightly "You need to look after yourself better, sweetheart"

"i know, i know" Lexi sighed

"Anyway, i'm just gonna get in the shower, i'll speak to you later?" Lynn said

"Of course" Lexi smiled "Bye Mom"

"Bye Lex"

Lexi hung up the phone with a small smile on her face. She always felt better after talking to her mom. She started to get ready for the party, in a pretty dress she'd bought prior to the party before she ran down the stairs. She got to the bottom of the stairs and paused in shock when she noticed Ricky and Gina stood there. "Oh hey Gina"

"Hi Lexi" Gina smiled

"Did you call mom?" Lexi asked

Ricky nodded "Yeah, she said that she misses us, and wishes we were with her" he lied

Lexi smiled and nodded, Gina shot Ricky and confused look when Lexi wasn't look, as she knew he had just lied to his twin.

"Okay, well i'm gonna go, meet you guys there?" Lexi grinned
