You're his therapist and you two become really good friends.

The sun was shining thought the window to your office. Nico would come in today at 1 pm for an hour or two, then your day ended at 3. So you sat doing a bit paper work to get that out of the way while waiting for the dark haired boy. You threw a glance at the clock hung up on the wall. It showed 12:36 am and you gave out a sight before turning back to the papers.

Nico was a special person and you had gotten the task to help him. He had a hard time opening up and be honest to not only you, but also himself. He didn't really believe he was "ill" and that what he was going through was completely normal. But when he met you he soon realised it wasn't as normal as he thought it'd be. You had told him that he suffered from way more things than he thought was possible. Anxiety and depression was something he already knew about. That he'd managed to detect himself. But the PTSD, insomnia, a bit OCD, a start to anorexia and the paranoia was something he had not figured out he would have but when you told him the symptoms and the consequences it made sense. Much more sense than he'd like to admit.

He'd been you client for a year now and it'd taken him long to really open up to you. Three months ago he'd finally taken up the offer to take your number if he needed anything. Now he called almost every day even if he didn't need anything. He often blamed it on his paranoia and told you he needed someone to talk to and keep him grounded. You just got along with it and now it wasn't unusual the you talked to Nico about everything and anything while cutting vegetables and cooking pasta at 6pm.

A light knock and the sound of the door opening made you look up from what you were doing and greet Nico with a gentle smile. He looked tired and the dark circles under his eyes was more visible than usual. The dark curls had once been brushed and styled but with all the times he'd pulled his hand through it it was already a mess again. He sat down at the couch and let out a puff of air telling you without words that he was grateful to get a moment to sit down and rest.

You put away all the papers in a folder and placed it in a drawer. The computer got packed down in your bag and the pencils were thrown down with it. Nico looked up at the sound of you packing up your things and you smiled at his slightly confused expression.

"I was thinking we should do something different today. It's really nice weather and I'm tired at sitting at that desk so I thought we could fix a picnic and then go to the beach or a park? Is that okay?" You looked at Nico and he smiled and nodded.

You held the door open and he walked out into the corridor. You locked your door after the two of you and then you started walking beside him towards the big glass doors at the entrance. You talked about anything and everything, like if you were best of friends. It felt natural. He was always closed off, and not very open about things he found hard to talk about. So you didn't ask unnecessary questions about it. He would tell you if he wanted you to know. Right know you just wanted to distract him a bit, get his mind on other thoughts. Just enjoy the moment and have fun.

When you reached the doors to your apartment complex you clicked in the code and when the familiar click was heard you gripped the hand and pulled the door open. Nico stepped inside and smiled fondly at you as you unlocked the door to your apartment and showed hims inside. It wasn't necessary a big flat. Two bedrooms, one bathroom, living room, kitchen and a balcony. The flat was newly renovated and decorated and built in a modern style. Nico took the liberty to look around and you let him. He'd never been in your home and he was a curios person. You smiled softly at him as he looked around.

While Nico was getting familiar with the surroundings you started to pull out some fruits, things to make a bunch of different sandwiches, chocolate to make chocolate covered strawberries and  a few cookies placed inside jars of glass. You started to melt the chocolate and then cut up the fruit that wasn't being dipped in chocolate. Nico helped out with the sandwiches and the fruit as much as possible but you noticed he had a lot on his mind today. After almost an hour of working you two placed everything in a basket and added a bottle of juice and a bottle of coca cola. Nico insisted on taking the basked since "it seemed heavy " and you didn't want to make him upset so you grabbed a small speaker and a big blanket to sit on."

"So? Where do you want to go? The beach? A park? Or maybe a mountain would suit you?" You asked and chuckled. Nico laughter lightly "the beach will do."

You placed everything inside your car and then the two of you drove off. Nico put on some music but kept the volume low so you could still talk to each other. After a 15 minutes drive you parked the car at the edge of the beach. It was almost completely wind still and the sun was shining. The water was blue and peaceful. You smiled and jumped out of the car and went to grab the things. Nico took the basked of food from your hands and you rolled your eyes at his insistently to be a gentleman. But the smile on your lips never left. After finding a spot where you were alone behind a few rocks you placed down the blanket. Nico began packing up the food and serving you a sandwich and a glass juice.

"Thank you Nico," you smiled and he looked down and shook his head. "No, thank you Y/N. You always do that little extra. It means a lot that you take your time to do this for me." You smiled and nodded "of course."

After eating a bit, Nico laid down with his head in your lap. You effortlessly stroke his dark locks from his forehead. Soft music played in the background on a low volume. Nico closed his eyes at your touch and it made you wonder how many he had that he trusted as he trusted you.

"Nico?" you mumbled. He hummed as answer but kept his eyes closed. "Tell me abut your day. I've kept you distracted for a while, now you gotta let it out." Nico opened his eyes this time and met your gaze. Your hair fell down from behind your ear and hung like a curtain beside your face. Nico carefully raised a hand and pushed it behind your shoulder, stopping a little too long when he brushed past your cheek. Then he sat up and pressed his lips against yours. You were taken aback and he pulled away just as quickly as he'd leaned in. He had worry in his eyes but when he  saw your soft smile and a loving gaze in your eyes he broke out in a dazzling smile.

"My day just got a thousand times better."
