Though, he liked being he center of attention, he couldn't properly express his own feelings because of his reputation.
All the girls loved her, while a few boys despised him because of jealousy.
Though, there was one girl who hated him.
Yashiro Nene.
Amane had a keen eye for Nene.
He liked the fact that she hated him.

Out of all the girls who loved him, he chose the one who hated him.
He attempted to get closer to her with the help of his best friend, Kou Minamoto, who was also friends with Nene.
But, their efforts were in vain.
"Amane... You have all the other girls at school to date. So, why her?"

"If she did fall for me, she wouldn't use me for my looks or money."

"I mean, she does hate me."
"I want you to let her go, since, it feels like we have no chance..."

Kou smiled at Amane, but he was hurt.

Amane smiled at Kou.
"Arigato, Kid."
"Keep calling me that and I won't help you anymore."
"O-Oi! G-Gomen! Gomen!"
"You're that desperate?"
"Ofcourse. We're talking about the girl I like here."
"Alright! Operation, Amane x Nene!"
Kou said that while raising his fist up, and so did Amane.
"Operation Amane x Nene it is."
