It's been 6 months since me and Finn broke up. It wasn't a nice one neither. I couldn't lie, it still hurt. I think about him every day and each day my heart breaks even more.
I decided to finally text him even though I knew he wouldn't reply
y/n/n: hi Finn. I know it's been a while since we've talked but I just wanted to meet up to maybe talk about what happened between us.
I opened the door to the diner and instantly saw Finn sitting in one of the booths. I walked up to him and sat across from him.
"Hi y/n" he said. "Hi Finn" I replied. "It's been a while". "Yea, it has".
"So why did you want to meet up?" "Beacuse we need to talk" "about what?" "I dont know, maybe about what happened?" I said in a low tone.
"I dont really understand what happened"
"Well can I at least ask you something?" I asked feeling my voice get shaky.
"What is it?"
"Do you regret it?"
"What?"
"I don't know" my voice shook. "Everything"
He stayed quiet for a long moment.
I started remembering that night. The night where it all ended. I remember all the shouting and insults at each other.
I snapped back into reality and i could alredy feel the heat flowing down my fa' ce. I was about to tell Finn to forget it but he talked before I could say anything.
"Just because we didn't work out doesn't mean you weren't the best thing that's ever happened to me, because you where". He said. I could see the corners of his mouth raise a bit.
"Yeah, you too" I said with glistening eyes.
"And who knows? Maybe we can work things out again don't you think?"
"Maybe"
