Imagine listening to this but you're having your last dance with your true love.
You're from rival kingdoms and you know once the ball is over, you won't be able to see him again. he notices your impassive expression, and begins singing the lyrics along to the expression, and at the very end, he whispers "I will find you again, my love. in this life or the next, my heart will belong to you forevermore."
He gives you a soft kiss before leaving, you watch as his carriage rides away into the distance. humming the song to yourself from the balcony. "in another life, my love."
Sort of like Romeo and Juliet lol
