Chapter 115 - Mu Yueshan's Visit

Mu Family.

"Young Master, you're back?" The Mu Family's servants saw Mu Huai dazedly walk through the door and couldn't help feeling a little puzzled.

Mu Huai directly headed inside and found Mu Yueshan.

"Father."

"Where have you been?" Mu Yueshan asked unhappily..

"I went to find Qi Shaorong."

Mu Yueshan frowned and said, "Why did you go look for him?"

"I wanted to ask him why he's targeting the Mu Family and if there's been some sort of misunderstanding." Mu Huai said.

"Well did he give you an answer?"

"Father, how exactly did I get the two wood-spirit cores in my body?" Mu Huai asked with some agitation.

"You were born with them, of course." Mu Yueshan's eyelids twitched and he turned his face away.

Mu Huai stared at Mu Yueshan and said, "Father, you're still insisting on lying to me?"

"Who did you meet?" Mu Yueshan asked with a heavy voice.

Mu Huai closed his eyes and took a deep breath, his face pale, "Father, the other wood-spirit core in my body is Mu Tingxuan's, isn't it? You dug out his wood-spirit core and placed it in my body."

Mu Huai said somewhat agitatedly, "I remember when I was a child, I only had one wood-spirit core, but one time I fell seriously ill and lost consciousness, and when I woke up, I found an extra core in my body."

"You remembered wrong." Mu Yueshan waved his hand.

"Father, going too far is just as bad as not going far enough. It's not mine, it doesn't belong to me, so the extra wood-spirit core in my body will only hinder my growth and progress." Mu Huai gritted his teeth, "Your actions caused me harm, and also harmed my cousin."
