That day, Taeyong wasn't able to attend his morning class when Jaehyun's aunt told him about what happened. At first, she didn't want to tell the boy about it because of Jaehyun's reasons, but then again, Taeyong was a stubborn person as well. The boy seemed to really care, the aunt noticed. Despite not knowing his nephew that well, Taeyong still wanted to know what happened.

The boy wanted to come with her to see the man, he begged for it, so the aunt couldn't even say no to him. Taeyong was trying to win her with his smiles and it wasn't a fair fight. They left the university and hopped into the car. Although Taeyong wanted to drive so it would be faster, but he gave the wheel to the older.

The ride felt very long when it was just a few minutes. Taeyong was very eager that it was unhealthy. Not getting bothered by it, he just hopped out when they arrived and ran into the building. The lady caught up and guided him to the right room that was on a few floors above. As soon as they got off the elevator, Taeyong jolted at someone calling his name.

"Taeyong?"

The boy's eyes widened, "Mom?" he said and went closer to her.

His mother furrowed her eyebrows at him, "What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be in class?" she asked and sounded mad.

"I'm sorry about that, Mrs. Lee. I wasn't able to stop myself from telling him about what happened to Jaehyun. He was...very eager so I tagged him along," the aunt said politely with a small smile.

The mad lady looked back at his son with one eyebrow raised and a frown, her arms crossed, "Seriously, you should be in class?"

"It's just ethics, mom," Taeyong said, confidently thinking that he would ace it without attending the class. But he wasn't that kind of student.

"I'll leave you guys to talk, I'll be inside," the aunt said with a shy smile before she made her way inside the room.

The boy looked through the window on the door and there he saw Jaehyun, sleeping on the hospital bed. The man was hospitalized last night because of him not being able to breathe that well. Taeyong couldn't even imagine how scary it is to feel like oxygen was gone in just a snap. Jaehyun must've been in afraid that night, and the boy wasn't even there if he needed help. But as far as he observed, Jaehyun doesn't want any help.

Good news, Jaehyun's in a good state. Taeyong was relieved to hear that but he doesn't know if the man's feeling well, mentally.

"He must've had a panic attack," his mother behind said.

Taeyong turned to look at her with a worried expression, "Did he have to drop out of university?"

"It's his decision, Taeyong, and it was my advice. He should focus on himself more."

The boy softly furrowed his eyebrows, looking like he was thinking, "I can still help him, right?"

"If he and his aunt is okay with the idea, then I'll let you," the lady answered.

Taeyong hummed before he looked back at the man inside the room. He suddenly wanted to do more for Jaehyun.

Hearing a lot of rustling, his eyes started to slowly flutter open. His half-opened eyes winced at the sudden brightness. He groaned, catching the attention of his aunt beside who was fixing something on the bedside table. She looked at him and showed a small smile at him.

"You're awake," the aunt said.

Jaehyun sighed, "Fortunately."

"How are you feeling?" she asked, continues to fix the foods that was bought a while ago.

"I'm good...I guess."

"I'm sorry if I woke you up. I was fixing the fruits. Are you hungry?"

The man looked at them and furrowed his eyebrows, "Why does it look like I'm staying here?"

She chuckled, "Oh, a few people just gave you a while ago."

"They came here? Auntie, I told you--"

"But it's Taeyong--"

"Taeyong?! Auntie!"

"What? I thought you were comfortable with him?"

Jaehyun wasn't really in favor when people get bothered because of him. He doesn't want to be a heavy responsibility, another burden they should carry. He doesn't want to involve anyone in his problems. People doesn't deserve to be stuck in a position with him.

An old veiny hand went to hold his hand, rubbing her thumb over his nephew's knuckles.

"He really cares for you. He got worried that's why he went to check you out. I feel like he's good for you, Jae," she said softly, "Before he left, he told me to ask you if he could, y'know, still help you."

The man took a few seconds, thinking thoroughly but he answered the opposite decision that he was telling himself. He then shook his head, "No...I don't need him, didn't I say that?"

His aunt smiled, like she wasn't really buying it, "Really? Are you sure?"

"Yeah..."

"You're very easy to read, JaeJae."

Jaehyun shrugged and sighed, "I just thought...he's too good to get involved with me."

"What do you mean? You're overthinking again," the aunt said.

"I'm ill. I'm weird, crazy. He might be good for me but I'm not for him. I'm going to pull him down...and that's not I wanted."

She smiled again, reassuringly, "You won't. Just believe in everything, okay? You'll get better and he'll help you. If you let everyone give you a hand, you'll be able to find something new. Something worth feeling, Jaehyun. I want you to feel what you should have felt ever since you were a young child. I want to see what could have been your life without the trauma. Help yourself, okay? I'm always here..."

This is why Jaehyun sees his aunt very special. She would do anything for her nephew and it was very much the reason why Jaehyun considers her as his emotional support. He wouldn't be here if she didn't take the risk and adopted him.

But her words still couldn't bring Jaehyun to save himself.
