Last First Kiss. Part 20:)

Niall's P.O.V.

Death? Zander's dead? Is that whats going on? He's dead? Is that what they are trying to tell me? My four year old son is dead? All i can see is every kind of medicalist rushing around, and all talking at once. What is going on? I feel faint. 

I handed the twins to one of the nurses that were going to take them somewhere less crowded and loud. I'm looking at Lucy, she looks so scared. She cries into her hands, as she is trying to get an answer out of the doctors. They all just keep ignoring her. That is rude. I feel my eyes start to get warm and tingly. Am i crying? Of coarse i am! Lucy turns around and falls into me. Sobbing into my shoulder. I hug her small body tightly, and close to mine. Her tears soaking my shirt. I stroke her hair, as i try not to lose my emotions. Before i knew it tears were spilling out of my eyes. 

Then i hear something. A  beeping noise, and all the doctors and nurses relax their shoulders at once. Lucy looks up at me with hope and wonder in her eyes. 

They doctor came over to me.

"He is back, and okay." He said shaking my hand.

"Thank you so much doctor," I say, and he puts his hand on my shoulder and leaves.

Lucy, and i walk over to where Zander is laying. Lucy's tears keep falling to the ground. I walk over and get a tissue and give it to her. She looks at me and kisses me. 

"Everything is okay now," I say looking at Lucy and wrapping my arms around her upper body. Taking her whole body into mine. 

It is 4 am, and Lucy keeps nodding off in that uncomfortable chair. 

"Love, you need to go to bed," I say making her stand up.

"Who is going to stay up and watch Zander?" She said looking back.

"I will babe, just go lay down," I said turning her back to me. 

"But..." She started.

"No, buts, i got this,"  I said kissing her cheek and pointing to the couch.

She walked over to the couch and quickly layed down. Before i looked away she was already dead asleep. I know that because, when she is in a deep sleep she twitches. Its weird, but its true. 

I walked over to Zander and sat down in the chair that Lucy was in. I stared at him. His brown hair, his thin lips, his bone structure like mine. He looked so much like me except i die my hair blonde. I am so lucky, even in this crumy situation. I thank God everyday for the money, my soon to be wife, my boys, my baby girl, and that i get to do what i love everyday. I started to sing quietly  to Zander. 

"If we could only have this life for one more day, if we could only turn back time, you know ill be your life, your voice, your reason to be my love, my heart is breathing for this moment in time ill find the words to say before you leave me today, close the door, throw the key, don't wanna be reminded don't wanna be seen, don't wanna be without you, my judgement clouded like tonight's sky, ahh ahhh ahh."

When i sang the ahh's his eyes started to open. The sound of my singing always did give him a sense of happiness, and that is what he has always woken up too as a baby. 

"Daddy?" Zander asked' looking up.

"Yes, baby, I'm here."  I said touching his hand.

"Am i going to die?" He asked in a sad voice.

"No buddy, everything will be okay, i promise you." I said chocking back tears. By now he had a full grip on my index finger.

"Are you going to leave me daddy?" He asked looking at me with thoes big green eyes.

"Im never going to leave you Z," I said crying freely now.

"Never?" He asked.

"Never ever," I promised him. "I love you baby," 

"I wove you too daddy," He said closing his eyes.

Once i made sure that he was asleep i went over and got on the couch with Lucy. Her body warmed me. It put a smirk on my face and gave me a sense of happiness and hope. I watched her sleep for a while, then fell into a deep dreamless sleep.

The next morning we woke up to just  everyone in our room. My parents, Louis, Eleanor, Harry, Ava, Liam,  Zayn,  Jay, literally everyone. 

"What is everyone doing here?" I asking confused.

"We all just wanted to see Zander," Zayn said, with everyone saying yeah after.

"Well he's sleeping, so be really quiet," Lucy said looking over at him.

There were at least a million balloons in that room after most of them left. Harry, Louis, Zayn, Liam, Ava, and Eleanor where the last ones to leave the hospital.

"Hello everyone, i hate to be rude, but could all of you leave besides the parents?" The doctor asked looking at our friends. They all nodded and walked out.

Lucy got up and walked over to look at Zander and see how he was doing today. He looked better. More life in him and since he talked to me last night we know that he isn't in a coma or anything really serious like that.

"Last night, Zander had a slight seizure form the medication and the shock from everything that has been going on for the last few days, but he is recovering nicely, and he should be ready to go home in less than a week," The doctor said examining Zander.

"That's great doctor, thank you so much," Lucy said as the doctor walked out.

She came over to me and hugged me. The look in her eyes was priceless, she looked so happy, the happiest i have seen her since the twins where born.

"We get to bring our babies home in less than a week Ni!" She said jumping into my arms.

"I know babe, I'm so happy," I said kissing her forehead. 

We were still hugging when everyone came back in.

"Get a room you two," Louis teased. 

I saw Eleanor go over to Zander and softly stroke his face.

"You really took a liking to him didn't you?" I asked when i got to her side.

"Yeah, he is a great little boy," Eleanor said looking somewhat sad.

"Well, we get to bring him home in about a week," I said hugging her.

"Thats amazing!" She said hugging back.

"I have a idea for you and Ava!" I said pulling back and motioning for her and Ava to follow me out into the hallway, so i could ask them to do a huge favor for Lucy, Ryder, Bryce, Zander and i. Its a big thing to ask of them, but i know they can do it.

"Whats this about, Niall?" Ava asked walking out of the door.

"I have to ask you guys a huge favor, and i mean HUGE." I said looking from Ava to Eleanor.

"Anything for you guys," Eleanor said, Ava nodding meaing that she is agreeing

"Okay, so i know it isn't  a lot of time, but i want you guys to plan the biggest and nicest wedding. I want it to cost so much that i have to pay it off for the rest of my life. I'm not going to tell Lucy, i want it to be a surprise. I want it to be so huge that there is 5,000 quests. I mean like the king and queen, find her birth parent for crying out loud. We have planned most of the wedding already, all of the notes for what we want are on the coffee table in the living room. Her measurements are in the book. Give them to a designer and have that person make her the most beautiful dress. There needs to be, lights, flowers, carpets, musicians, the whole sha-bang! Do you think you can handle it?" I asked happily.

"Of course we can, we totally got this," They said nodding together.

"Perfect, I'm counting on you girls," I said putting my hand on their shoulders.

"Everything will be amazing, the best wedding ever," Eleanor said looking at me and Ava.

"Thank you so much,"  I said before bringing both of them in for a hug.
