Have you ever felt aloof
Not just from people
But objects and feelings too
It's scary how numb it can get
Screaming inside
Yet feeling half dead
Everything could evaporate
And it would still feel the same
Like standing alone at hell's gate
Feeling all these feelings
Its tiring , its cruel , its suffering
And also really really overwhelming
Not being able to express it
Is a whole different sad story
Cause no words seem to fit
They say metaphors are the way
That pain can be expressed by them
Yet I'm still not able to say
Feels like a perpetual hangover
The silence before the storm
Maybe once it hits I'll finally feel sober
So baby give me fire , give me rain
Give me anything
To not feel this implacable again
