3rd Person

Aru was walking to class the next day in a different uniform. Turned out that Philipe had found the school's older uniforms, not the new ones. The sweater that she wore over her white collared shirt was now dark grey and light grey in the pattern of thick stripes.

She entered the West wing hall when she heard someone call her name. Aru turned to see Aiden catching up to her.

Her expression remained neutral though she had no desire to speak to him.

"Yes?" she asked, continuing to walk.

"Can we talk, Shah?"

"No, I'm good, thanks. I don't need your stupidity rubbing off on me."

"Nothing ever pleases you, does it?" he asked Aru, rolling his eyes.

"Nothing that you do, no."

"Come on. We were fine yesterday."

"We were. Then, I realized that you constantly go into a cycle of being snotty and stuck-up then being nice to me again. So, I have decided to ignore you," she said, continuing to walk away.

"But we're talking now?"

"Ugh, I hate you," she growled.

"Why? I'm lovely."

"You're anything but that," Aru muttered, hoping he would hear so she could prepare for her next response.

"I heard that!" he yelled after her. She turned around to face him and walked backward.

"You were supposed to, Sherlock!"

She found her way to the class, and she sat down at her seat in the back.

"Yo, Aru!" Rudy yelled from the front of the class.

She looked up from the book that she had her nose buried in. "Hmm?"

"Two questions. One-"

"Who said you could ask them?"

"Me. Anyway, one, what book are you reading?"

Aru rolled her eyes. "Some book for my project. Next question. You have fifteen seconds." Aru looked at her watch that used to be her father's.

All her old questions came flooding back to her. Why did he leave her and her mother? Was it something she did? Was Aru just not good enough for him?

"Your time starts now," she said, snapping herself back out of her own thoughts.

"Fine. Why are you wearing a boy's uniform?"

"Who said this was a boy's uniform, Rudy?" she glared.

"It doesn't have a skirt to it, duh." Aru shot up out of her seat, and she towered over her desk.

Fischer, Sebastian, and the sisters had been peacefully talking over in a corner until Aru stood up. Then, their gazes all turned to her.

"That's a load of crap, and you know it!" she yelled. "I see you just wearing a white shirt and khakis. So, this can't possibly be the same ensemble as yours, seeing as mine has a sweater. Also, I'm wearing sweatpants."

"You can't be that specific, Aru," Rudy rolled his eyes.

"If I remember correctly, you are quite particular yourself. I have two last questions for you, Prince Rudra."

"Too bad, you can't ask me them. I won't allow it, not from a girl like you." Rudy turned away and started to walk toward Aiden, who had just entered the classroom.
