Spring, I hate you

I hate the blooming smell of flowers when I'm withering inside Your promise of warm weather that never seems to arrive on time like her love that never made it through the phone no matter how much she promised it would

I hate the grass trying to grow through the snow sat on top of it God, she's intoxicating I hate the start of clear blue skies that are often the same shade of her blue hair

Spring, I hate you for the simple fact that she left me in what is supposed to be the start of the happiest season

Spring, I hate you. Can you stop suffocating me every time I step outside

Spring, can we skip you and summer so we can get to fall faster?

Summertime is meant to fall in love with the person you met in spring but she left me in a million tiny pieces like our photographs on the floor

Spring, can you leave me alone.

Spring, my depression was supposed to disappear by the time you got here but she left me for someone else so can winter hold me a little longer this year?

I promise to try and forget her quickly as that is my one and only wish but how can I not think of her when I see you in your soul

Spring, I am in pain. Can you leave soon?

She broke her promises but I promise that next year I'll welcome you with open arms and nurture your soil and plant your seeds I'll water your flowers if you leave now

Spring, I hate you but you'd hate yourself too if you could see how much ache you put in my fucking bones

Spring, I hate you but she loves you is she with you? Can you tell her to pick up the phone?
