Tetanus Shot

“Be careful bub.” Tae shouted to Jungkook who was playing on the slide.

Past few days Jungkook was requesting Tae to take him to park. As Tae was busy he didn't had time but today he was free so he decided to take him.

Jungkook was really happy as he was jumping around like a bunny he is.

Tae chuckled at his behavior before looking at his watch and gasping.

“Kook let's go. It's pretty late.” Tae shouted to Jungkook who was playing.

Jungkook looked at him and got up. He started running towards Tae but unfortunately falled down because of a small stone beneath his leg.

His eyes became watery and he started crying loudly holding his legs.

Tae ran towards him hugging him.

“Shhhhh bunny, it's okay.” Tae comforted him.

Tae took a look at Jungkook’s injury.
He had a cut on his elbow and scraped his knee.

Jungkook was crying hard right now.

“Shhh bunny it's okay. You are a strong boy right?” Tae said trying to distract him.

Jungkook sniffled but nodded. Tae cooed at him.

“Let's go home and treat your cuts.” Tae said as he picked Jungkook up and went in his car.

He called his family doctor at his home.

After few minutes they reached home. Jungkook was still sniffling. Tae ruffled his hair and again picked him up and went inside.

He went inside their shared bedroom and first changed Jungkook’s dirty clothes into comfy pyjamas.

He placed Jungkook on the bed when he heard a knock on the door.

“Come in.” He said and the doctor entered in.

“Hello Mr. Kim.” the doctor bowed.
“Hello Dr. Lee.” Tae said as they shaked hands with each other.

“What happened?” the doctor asked him.
“Well we were in the park when Jungkook was running but fall down and hurted his elbow and knee.” Tae explained.

The doctor went near him and sat on the bed.
Jungkook widen his eyes and looked at Tae.

“Don't worry bubba he will make your ouchies go away.” Tae assured him and he sat beside him.

The doctor checked his elbow and knee and opened his bag which held many items in it. Jungkook saw it and started squirming.

“Bubba don't worry.” Tae said in Jungkook’s ear.

The doctor took the tweezers out as Jungkook looked at Tae with begging eyes telling him to stop it but Tae kissed his forehead and assured him everything is fine.

Dr. Lee sat facing Jungkook and held his elbow in one hand. He took the tweezers and started taking of the dirt and debris from his wound.

Jungkook flinched and hissed.
“H-hurwts.”
“It's alright bunny.” Tae patted his head.

Dr. Lee did same on his knee and placed the tweezer in his bag.

He took an antibiotic cream out and started applying it on Jungkook’s wound. Jungkook flinched and started squirming but Tae held him.

“Bunny it will be over in a minute.” Tae said as he kissed all over Jungkook’s face.

“B-but it hur-hurwts.” Jungkook said sobbing.
“I know baby but you are a strong boy right?” Tae said.

Soon enough Dr. Lee took a bandage out and started to cover the wound on his elbow. He did same to his leg and placed the bandage in the bag.

“He has to take a tetanus shot.” Dr. Lee whispered to Tae.
Tae looked down at Jungkook who was looking at him curiously.

Tae nodded to Doctor.
Dr. Lee started preparing the shot while Tae was distracting Jungkook.

“You know you're so strong. You are my strong bunny.” Tae said.
“Very strwong?” Jungkook asked.
“Very strong.” Tae said smiling.

Soon Dr. Lee turned around and signed Tae to placed him on his lap.
Tae picked Jungkook up and placed him on his lap.
Jungkook started squirming.

“Bunny he is just making your ouchies go away.” Tae said and Jungkook stopped and sighed in relief.

Tae was talking with Jungkook and playing with his hair to distract him while Dr. Lee pulled Jungkook’s pant a little and rubbed the cotton with alcohol on his right cheek.

Jungkook wasn't aware of anything.

Dr. Lee held his cheek and inserted the needle swiftly. Jungkook flinched and started squirming.

“Baby stay still or it will hurt more.” Tae said and held him on place.

Dr. Lee pushed the medicine down. Jungkook started sobbing from pain.
“Da-daddy.”
“It's over, it's over bunny.” Tae said patting his back.

Soon Dr. Lee pulled the needle out and placed a bandage on it.
Tae started rubbing his cheek to soothe the pain.

“Okay Mr. Kim I will take my leave now, call me if anything happens.” Dr. Lee said as he bowed.

Tae bowed to him too.
“Sure Dr. Lee, thankyou.”

The doctor went away.

Tae looked at Jungkook who was almost sleeping now. His crying made him tired.

Tae placed him properly on the bed and placed a blanket on him. He kissed his forehead before going out to make Jungkook his favourite chicken nuggets.
