Chapter Seven:

I woke up to a text from Tokoyami.

'Wake up and get ready,
I'm coming to pick you up in fifteen minutes.'
It read.

I panicked seeing it'd been three minutes since he sent it.

I got changed and cleaned up quickly,
I heard a knock on the door and opened it to see Tokoyami in a fancy suit.

"Why the formal wear?"
I asked, worried I missed something in his note.

"Shoto didn't tell you?
He's meeting with Endeavor
for hold over his hero agency."
My jaw dropped at his words.

"No he didn't tell me that.
I can't go out to something
that important in casual clothes."
I worried, I could already see the glares in my mind.

"Shoto prepared for that,
here take this."
Tokoyami gave me a nice suit.

It fit well and was pretty comfortable,
It looked good on me too.

I fixed and tightened the tie.

Kaminari was sitting shotgun
next to Sero as he drove us to Shoto's estate.

I sighed when we got there,
shaking of any nerves.

"It's y/n-"
The doors opened before I could finish.

Shoto wore a lovely white suit and a black dress shirt,
a red tie and blue flower in the dress pocket.

He walked down to greet me,
Shoto's hair was slicked back
and he looked amazing.

He circled around me,
a teasing aura.

"Looking pretty good,
I picked the right clothes."
I rolled my eyes at him.

He kissed my lips softly
and we heard the doors creak open.

Endeavor saw us for a second,
we sat down at the table.

I stood next to Shoto,
I made note of everything in the room.

Murals and paintings on the walls,
windows letting outside sunlight in.

I stayed quiet.

"Shoto, you've held up your own company
where both underground folk
and heroes can make a deal with you.
I'm impressed-"
Endeavor was cut off.

"Cut the bullshit,
I'm only wasting my time for one thing."
Shoto clearly hadn't forgiven him.

I held his hand to calm him down where Endeavor wouldn't see.

Endeavor got more serious.
Clearing his throat and ignoring the tension.

"The hero agency,
you are the owner by blood."
Endeavor said, Shoto waited for the strings attached.

"Therefore,
you gain control by contract
or by my death."
He explained.

"One is easier than the other, take your pick.
I can make it happen so don't pull anything."
Shoto threatened.

A flame showing through his suit on his shoulder.

"Now, that'd risk your company prophet,
killing your own fathe-"
Endeavor threatened back.

"You were never a father to me,
I could use your money to tell the papers
whatever story I see fit."

Shoto's words were like a knife to Enji's throat.

"The hero agency is of no use to you anyway,"
Enji pointed out, like a last cry before death.

"The building and workers would be happy
to tell you how you've treated them.
Plus the building and money made as its title alone,
is worth well more than your net worth."
Shoto explained, Enji swallowed seeing what he'd done.

"The company's reputation is of no use to you,
ruining my life won't help bring back your mother."
Enji realized he stepped too far.

Shoto final thread snapped.

It was said that when Dabi went to see Shoto's mother
as an apology for leaving the family,
all he found was records
of her death before Shoto could see her,
they never held a funeral.

I had to stay professional and do my job,
even if I wanted to help Shoto calm down,
I can't change his direct orders.

I could see the fire in Shoto's eyes.

Bloodlust.

I slid out a knife,
Shoto held my hand in place.

"It'd be a shame,
if the papers heard that the
number one hero went missing.."
Shoto got up, creating an ice spear.

"You'll die to your wife's quirk,
she'll finally be at peace having her revenge fulfilled."
Shoto finished, Endeavor sat in fear.

I saw the hidden guards ready to fire at Endeavor,
I moved my hand up.

Stopping their fire as a direct order coming from the head guard.

"Your soul will be forced to stay on earth
going through memory after memory,
feeling the suffering me and my family went through.
It's your fate. Accept it."
Shoto said, a dark feeling coming from him.

He threw the ice spear through his arms and legs,
he bled out slowly, screaming.

"Goodbye Enji,
may the demons from our past
bless you with karma,
your sins finally caught up to you."
Shoto said, as his final words to his father ended.

He threw two ice spears
through his chest to his heart
and through his skull.

Shoto saw the blood flow,
and heard the screams stop.

I'd never seen this side of Shoto,
not knowing what to do I hugged him.

He weakly hugged back,
a splash of blood on his cheek.

I wiped the blood away with my thumb,
a tear down Shoto's face.

"My mother can be at peace..."
He whispered, hugging me close.

The guards jumped down
and found a way to dispose of the body
without it surfacing to the media.

I kissed his scar knowing it's past.

"This scar is no longer of a horrible past,
but to show you fought through your hardest moments.
And lived to see the end of your family's suffering."
I told him, he kissed my lips.

"I love you,
but I know if you get brought into my life
and face me head on, you'll leave me behind."
Shoto explained, I waited for him to tell me the rest.

"If you find someone,
know I'll be here by your side,
it won't affect your job or pay."
He told me, I listened.

"I'm unsure whether you believe in such things,
but I believe we all have a soulmate or soulmates,
yours is out there searching for you.
If our fates twist you can always find a home here,"
Shoto said kindly, I thanked him.

I kissed his lips once more.

"I hope you find who you're looking for,
I wish for you the best."
I finished, he smiled softly.

Tokoyami, Kaminari and Sero burst through the doors.

"Shoto, we caught a glimpse
of Endeavor being disposed of.
What happened?"
Tokoyami asked worriedly.

Shoto walked over to explain to them the events.

I saw two figures silhouetted beside Shoto,
I assumed them to be his soulmates.

I smiled, a bright future awaited him.
